      Phases of Faith

      It would be to your advantage to read two other books before reading this one: Faith for a Troubled Time and Christian FAITH. These two short free books reveal the why of faith and the pattern for the phases of faith, while Phases of Faith focuses on the details of each phase as it applies intimately to you.

      I will begin with a metaphorical story. - As a child you would enter a car and sit in the back seat. There you must behave yourself and learn the rules of riding in the car. When you get older you move to the front passenger seat where you will get instructions from the driver on the rules of the road and on how to operate the car. When the time comes, you move to the driver’s seat and take control of the car. This story presents a simplistic picture of the phases of faith by using a car as faith. Phase one is when you open the door and enter the car. That represents salvation. Phase two is when you are seated in the back seat. That is when you learn what is expected of you and how to act as a growing Christian. Phase three is sitting in the front passenger-side seat. There you are in a transitory stage when you are enlightened to enable you to perform your assigned task as a mature Christian. Phase four is
