This recipe book is a fundraiser that benefits the ministries of New Beginnings Church in Owatonna, Minnesota. Congregation members submitted all recipes in this publication. This book features over 70 recipes including an assortment of entrées, salads, desserts, dips and more.

Reid A. Peterson
Reid A. Peterson is an artist, pastor and writer who is passionate about the power of creativity and storytelling. Reid has over thirteen years of experience as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. He also serves as Associate Pastor and Administrator at New Beginnings Church in Owatonna, Minnesota. Furthermore, he oversees various programs at the church with an emphasis on kids ministry. Reid was born and raised in Owatonna. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design Print from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma (2013). Reid was ordained as a minister from New Beginnings Church in 2016. Additionally, Reid later graduated from Word of Faith Bible School at New Beginnings Church in 2018.ReidAPeterson.com an art portfolio and online store. This recipe book is a fundraiser that benefits the ministries of New Beginnings Church in Owatonna, Minnesota. Congregation members submitted all recipes in this publication. Entrées
Baked Chicken and Rice
INGREDIENTS
1 small box of instant rice (1-1/3 c.)
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. milk
1 envelope of dry onion soup mix
1 whole chicken, cut up or may use chicken parts or pork chops
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat soups and rice with the milk. Pour in baking dish. Place chicken on top of rice. Pour dry onion soup mix over top of chicken. Cover with foil and bake at 325˚ for 2 hours. Use 9x13-inch pan or larger. Grease baking dish.
Barb’s Waffles
INGREDIENTS
2 eggs (beaten)
¼ c. and 2 Tbsp. of oil (any type will work)
2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix oil and milk with beaten eggs. Add buttermilk and mix. Mix flour, soda, salt, and baking powder together, add to egg mixture and then mix thoroughly. Spray waffle iron lightly before heating. Bake according to waffle iron.
Serves: 4-6
Baked Noodle Hot Dish
INGREDIENTS
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped green pepper
1 Tbsp. of butter
1 can (28 oz.) of tomatoes with liquid
1 can mushrooms stems and pieces (drained and cut up)
1 can (2 oz.) of sliced ripe olives (drained)
1 lb. ground round
