Importance of Certification
Certificates and Certifications, the names for these credentials sound confusingly similar. But there are important differences. Here’s what you need to know about these resume-enhancing options and how they might advance your career.
What is a Certificate?
Earning a certificate is about education. Certificates are academic credentials awarded by colleges, universities, or other educational institutions. Students in certificate programs learn new knowledge in a specific subject or discipline and earn a certificate by successfully completing the coursework. An ideal student for a certificate program is someone who is willing to go through the experience of growing their own skillset, being real about what they want to learn, and working with others,
says Jennifer Diamond, an instructor for the UW Certificate in Project Management. Many certificate programs have few, if any, admission requirements, making them an excellent option if you want to move forward in your career. The programs are usually noncredit and take less time to complete than a degree. Certificates are commonly listed on resumes as education, some meet education requirements for first-time or renewed certifications.
What is a Certification?
When you have the professional knowledge you need, a certification allows you to prove it. Certifications indicate mastery of skills or standards. Professional certifications are granted by industry groups or career-related organizations. These groups assess your qualifications, usually through an exam or application process. Many certifications include the privilege to use a related designation following your professional title. Certification differs from a license, which permits you to work in a certain profession and is usually issued by a government or regulatory agency.
Benefits Of Certification
Certification helps in learning new technologies, skills, and abilities for a specific promotion. Earning a new certification or an advanced certification in a particular area of expertise can help in advancing your career.
Professional certification shows consumers and potential employers that you are committed to your profession and are well-trained. It gives them confidence in your abilities and knowledge.
Certification makes you more valuable to employers, so you can expect to earn more than someone without certification.
Certifications can give you the chance to learn needed skills, and be a quick way to show employers you have those skills.
Why GAFM Certifications are popular?
Unlike others, GAFM skills certification does not expire
No renewal fee like other professional body
The certification card indicates that your skills and experience are verified based on the skills and competencies mentioned on the certificate

Business environments are undergoing continuous change. There is an increase in uncertainties and unforeseen challenges emerging from the complexities of the hyper-connected world economy. The pace of development is presenting a compelling case to revise and revisit your business strategies constantly. There is an increased convergence of digital and social spheres, and there can be no isolated strategy to deal with either. The ground rules say, Innovate or perish.
Survival is for the ones who stay on the frontlines of innovation and are continuously churning out new products.
This has made the role of a business analyst highly challenging and intuitive. He has to have a deep understanding of business value propositions, foster a spirit of innovation, and maintain a constant focus on product value. Realizing the above can actually mean the difference which will decide the success or failure of the organization as it walks through the challenges posed by the 21st century.
A Registered Business Analyst is an experienced certified professional who has earned the accredited gold-standard certified business analyst credential from The Global Academy of Finance and Management ®. This credential is offered to the individual with several years of experience in software requirements management. The Registered Business Analyst® certification program is designed to deliver a deep, practical understanding of software requirements processes. Successful candidates will be conferred with the Registered Business Analyst certification subject to passing in the examination.
Role of a Business Analyst
It is the primary responsibility of the business analyst to develop a deep understanding of the business process and document the same. It is a highly empowered role, and he or she is entrusted with many business secrets. A business analyst will seek to understand the basic structure of the business organization and process. Further, he or she will try to identify the areas of improvement or weak links which have been generally overlooked. Once his groundwork is done, he or she now needs to be the most active participant in all the business meetings and clearly convey the business process to the development teams. Even after the product launch, he or she has to ensure that the product is matching the customer’s expectations. Also, it is important to note that a BA will have a key role at the beginning of product development as he or she has to actually translate the product requirements to the development team and further on will work in complete coordination with them to ensure the requirements are properly communicated and interpreted.
The process of researching and analyzing the activities of a project for possible gaps in business requirements and inefficiencies in solution delivery is carried out by a professional (or an expert group) appointed to the role of business analyst. This professional contributes to solving the solution design and implementation issues in project management by providing expert advice, guidance and leadership to the project manager, team, and other stakeholders. The business analyst takes ultimate responsibility for identifying and solving problems affecting the business solution and works closely with the project manager to analyze the existing business systems and make recommendations for improvement.
The business analyst focuses on the business issues surrounding the system. This person helps to identify the business value that the system will create, develops ideas for improving the business processes, and helps design new business processes and policies. The business analyst will have business training and experience, plus knowledge of analysis and design.
International Business Analyst (IBA) analyzes the enterprise and design organizations, ministries as well as non-profit organizations. IBA analyze the business models as well as their association with technology.
Chartered IBA includes four domain areas:
Strategic Planning – This level of analysis includes the evaluation of the strategic activities of the company.
Business / Operation Model Analysis – This level includes the identification as well as evaluation of policies and procedures of the organization to do business.
Process Definition & Design – This level of analysis includes business process modelling, which is often the outcome of process design and modelling.
IT & Technology Business Analysis – This level encompasses the rules as well as the needs for technical systems. This analysis is usually encountered in the IT field.
A Registered Business Analyst must be able to work as a core intermediate of the company. The role of a Registered Business Analyst proceeds on several dimensions as well as responsibilities, which all match into the huge domain of the core businesses of the organization. The core businesses of any company are packed with processes and the successful working of these processes is under the responsibility of the Business Analyst, nominated for that specific project. The primary role of a Registered Business Analyst includes generating ideas for new processes, developing them and essentially implementing them to ensure that they’re functioning well.
In addition, Registered Business Analyst requires guaranteeing these processes are organized in a way, which permits those processes to be modified to other portions of the company. The Registered Business Analyst (RBA) must have a clear understanding of how the processes are functioning currently in the environment of the international business; hence, the RBA is able to realize how operative it is and after measuring the worthiness. The RBA can identify the gaps and then find the solutions to fill the gaps. RBA also ensures to prevent those gaps in the new processes.
Since Registered Business Analyst serves as the core processes of a business in the company, he/she needs to communicate with several departments of an organization. Communication with the uppermost position or top management of the company is the essential role of a Registered Business Analyst. Moreover, he needs to interact with the company’s sales force, Marketing Department, Finance & Accounting department Production department and human resource department as a part of this role. He/she also requires to be aware of the customer’s consumer behaviour, which is influenced by the organization’s businesses. In addition, the job of a Registered Business Analyst isn’t static in nature. Registered Business Analyst requires being dynamic in his ideas, action, and words. In order to survive in the constantly changing phase of the corporate market, Registered Business Analysts are demanded to review their processes constantly in their business unit and make required changes if necessary. This behaviour is vital to guarantee maximum customer fulfilment for the consumer of an organization and for business profitability optimization.
Registered Business Analyst needs to possess the following knowledge and skills:
Understand the Requirements of the Business
A vital responsibility of the Registered Business Analyst is to function with the project stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into details, that developers can able to understand. Moreover, to translate the emerging question from the developers into details that stakeholders can able to understand. The key skill required for this portion of the process is the ability of the Business Analyst to refine the varying messages as well as the requirements of the project stakeholders or consumers into a consistent, single vision. This task sometimes includes certain political and negotiation maneuvering. Registered Business Analysts often need to spend a certain amount of time in meetings in order to save the development team from spending their time understanding the stakeholder’s requirements at the beginning of the project, the role of a Registered Business Analyst (RBA) may seem as one among the software development team designated for the project. However, they are required to work with key project consumers or stakeholders as well as business people to communicate and formulate the vision of the business for the project. In addition, RBA is in need to plot the scope and initial requirements of the project. The fundamental goal of the RBA is to obtain the project concentrated early by transforming the initial high-level goal into something realistic.
Requirements
Functional requirements describe the functions that the software is to execute; for example, formatting some text or modulating a signal. They are sometimes known as capabilities or features.
