      I could not have written this book had it not been for the unfailing support of my mother. She has been with me, as they say, since day one.       Preface

      I’m sure you are curious about who I am, why I’m writing this book, and what makes me qualified to tell you how to change your life. Well, I am simply a human being who has managed to change her life against seemingly insurmountable odds. This knowledge is hard won – based on my own experience. I am going to tell you how I did it. I believe with all my heart there are people I can reach that others could not. I believe that it is my Divine mission to carry a message of hope, healing, and change to others through the testimony of my life. It is my heart’s desire that your soul will be ignited and set free, so you can begin your journey and, in turn, reach others. Imagine how beautiful this world will be when we are all healing, living a life of purpose, and fulfilling our destiny. So if you’re pleading for help, looking for a miracle, and need it now, you are in the right place.

      Perhaps you are at your rock bottom or maybe you are just coming into the awareness that something is off in your life. You are lacking peace and have no serenity. Life is not adding up for you and you have a strong feeling that there is more out there for you. You think, There has to be more to life than this! Well the good news is that there is! You can change your life. I am going to help guide you and soon you will be on your way. There is no magic formula: this is a spiritual journey all your own. It will be filled with sorrow, pain, cleansing, healing, and miracles that will lead you into a grace and connection with God you never thought was possible. It takes courage to change. It takes courage to answer your soul’s cry. But you can do it.

      When I was seriously looking to change my life, I often wished that there was one place where I could receive my start-up kit on how to begin, along with resources and recommended readings. I also wished that I had a guidebook to reassure me that I was okay, and to keep me moving forward. For a long time, even though I was going through a profound transformation, shame and guilt severely nagged me. I had a small but effective support system, but sometimes you just need to be validated from an outside source. It is my hope that through this book our spirits will connect and you will feel supported, understood, and well on your way to healing and finding your life’s purpose. I will include affirmations, reading recommendations, and personal testimony. I will give you my truth, my prayers, and Divine messages. All I ask of you is to commit to begin changing your life. It will be hard, it will be a fight, but I promise you the changes and miracles that you’ll experience will keep you moving forward. God and the Angels are with you and I am too!

      Introduction

      My mother likes to tell the story of how she hasn’t been able to get me to listen to her since I was two years old! For many years, I was the epitome of a hard head and thought I knew it all! I believe these qualities came about because I was often left to fend for myself while my parents worked. I was self-taught in almost everything including tying my own shoes. I believe that when the adults in our lives do not take the time to nurture us and teach us the result becomes a strong-willed child who in essence is just a directionless child. I think those of us who have suffered any kind of abuse in our childhood also have these characteristics because we were victimized and not protected by the adults in our lives. To hell
