AUTHOR’S BACKGROUND
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
In writing this book, How to Eradicate Bullying,
I was concerned about the number of students who are bullied in school particularly on the elementary and middle school levels. I was also concerned about the negative impact bullying has on the victims and families.
Bullying is a serious and dangerous act, so schools must engage in research-based solutions to protect the safety and livelihood of their students. These solutions must incorporate anti-bullying policies, procedures and laws earmarked to address bullying in schools and prohibit discrimination and harassment based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability and religion.
Considering the time, energy and commitment it takes to write a book, I would like to thank my wife, Constance C. Holmes, for being the editor for it. Her continued dedication and unwavering support to my publications and service to public education is greatly appreciated.
DEDICATION
This book is dedicated to all the innocent victims of bullies and parents who have lost their loved ones due to bullying and other forms of violence in our schools.
It is my hope that this book will serve as a vehicle to improve public education and contribute to the eradication of bullying in the U.S. and abroad.

In my day, the bully would get two guys to a scene, stand in the middle of the two guys and excite the conflict by saying, the
baddest man, hit my hand." One of the guys would hit his
