    Who Are You # 1

    INT. PAIN residence, dining room.

For her fourth birthday, JESSY Pain, is about to receive a gift, in which her father William hands to Jean his wife, who then relays it to JESSY; who eagerly rips at the wrapping, with a shine of delight on her face. Overjoyed as she exposes a Make-up kit. JESSY gleefully hugs both parents.

    JESSY

Thank you! Thank you, I’ll be the salon lady, and dad, can be my assistant, and mom you can be my customer.

    William

    Our customer.

    JESSY

    Very good, our customer.

They both start beatifying Jean. As if they were in an operating room; with smiles, love and consideration for all.

JESSY Gestures artistically as she leads the event.

    JESSY

When Janet and Sandy come over tomorrow, we’ll have a great time.

FADE OUT CUT TO. INT. PAIN residence, basement.

The next day. JESSY, JANET and SANDY are with JESSY playing with and enjoying the make-up kit. SANDY is doing JESSY’S nails, while JANET is a distance away, looks at the two of them having fun.

JANET picks up a lipstick, pulls of the cover to expose its color, rose red. Then she peers over at JESSY and SANDY; JANET then slips the lipstick in her pocket, then walks over to the other Girls.

    JANET

(picks up a bottle of blue nail polish)

    That’s a great thing.

JESSY holds her hand displaying her newly done red finger nails. JANET holds JESSY’S hand, admiringly looking at it, then starts repainting JESSY’S nails blue,

    JANET

    (to JESSY)

Would you like me to do your nails?

    SANDY

    I just did them.

    JANET

I want to redo them in blue.

    JESSY… &  . . . SANDY

    No… It’s alright… Please… Don’t.

    JANET

Well I got two. (she smile)

Now You are different from everybody else.

    JESSY

(with a look of dismay, as she looks over her nails.)

I… I… Guess you are right; it looks different.

    SANDY

    (looks at her watch)

I’ve got to go, but before I do, do you need help cleaning up?

    JANET

    Yeah.
