FOREWORD
T his is a terrific book! If you’re into ghoulish or psycho
stories, but nothing that is disgusting or too scary, then this is the horror collection for you.
These stories demonstrate that though we sometimes get the things that we think we really want, in the end, we find out that what we wished for wasn’t what we meant it to be.
This volume proves that sometimes, it’s better to just leave well enough alone.

AUTHOR’S NOTE
P eople often ask me where I get my stories. Most books I have done in the past have been about true incidents; for example, my adventures in police work. This book is different. These stories are based on nightmares I have had through the years, which always caused me to wake up screaming. I decided that I may as well use those night terrors to terrify – and hopefully entertain - someone else. So I hope you will enjoy these stories – just don’t turn out the li ghts.

The whole fight had been stupid, he thought. It was all her fault; she should have known that he would always come home. Some fine Christian she turned out to be. Who asked her to wait up for him anyway? But she had been right there at the door when he came in last night, and right away she started in on his drinking, and the late hour. One thing led to another and he had slapped her. That shut her up! He’d had enough of her preaching. He stumbled into the bedroom and went to sleep. When he woke up this morning – two hours late for work – he found she had written good bye
on the bathroom mirror in lipstick, and was gone. She’s the one who violated the marriage vows – didn’t she promise for better or for worse?
Frank couldn’t believe she had really left.
Frank’s mind was racing when he called his boss. He tried to explain why he was late for work – again – but the boss wasn’t listening. Frank was fired. What kind of jerk will fire a man over the phone? He should
