    Faye Yvette Quinn, “God’s Baby Girl,” is an ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She was born in Miami, Florida in 1962. Raised in Overtown by her Mother, Betty Barrette and Grandmother, Edna Jones. Faye attended Phyllis Wheatley Elementary School and Booker T. Washington Jr. High School. In 1979, she received her High School Diploma from McKinney Job Corps in McKinney, Texas where she also received her certification as a Clerk Typist. She later went on to receive a BS degree in Education from Florida Memorial University. Upon returning home in 1979, she met and later married Frankie B. Quinn in 1988. Frankie and Faye have four adult children and nine grandchildren most of whom reside in Florida. Faye’s gift of writing was recognized at an early age when she started writing poetry as a way of releasing pent up emotions. Having dealt with many of life’s circumstances, she has written many poems over the years. Even though she felt peaceful after writing, it was always short lived. The circumstances still seemed to outweigh the peace she gained through writing. As a result, Faye began to seek God for help. That seeking developed into a loving relationship with God and it was through that relationship that God began to give her revelation knowledge as to how to effectively apply His word to her every situation and circumstance. It was then laid upon her spirit to write her first book titled: THE WORD WORKS SO WHAT’S THE MATTER? It is her desire that, through these books, others may know that, not only does the word of God work, but how to apply it and how to incorporate it into their prayers!

      SO, WHAT’S THE MATTER, NOW?

      PART II

      (PART I - The Word Works So What’s The Matter?)

      INTRODUCTION

      In our walk with Christ there are times when it seems as if we have everything perfected. Only to find out that we are so far from perfection until it makes us seem as if we are total failures. I know that there is none perfect except our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and I also know that we are to strive for perfection. But have you ever experienced the joy of finally overcoming something that you had been struggling with for so long, only to come to the realization that there is yet so much more to be done in that area of your walk with Christ? Well maybe it’s just me. On numerous occasions I recall feeling so high and mighty at the fact that the other persons struggle was no longer my struggle. There is even a saying that I often used, been there done that and I have the t-shirt to prove it. Only to find out by reading the word of God or from a message that someone had preached, that I had only conquered it on a small scale and that there was still much work to be done. Still don’t quite understand; well, let me give you an example. I thought once I had become a faithful tither, I had that area of giving down pat only to find out that my offering was equally important. I find out or so it seems that everything works for a while until its time to come up just a little bit higher in God. It is at that time he will reveal more of his will for our lives and we realize that we still have more work to do. I understand now that my Abba Father just wants me to be right with him all the way. So, after a little pouting, I begin to thank God for showing me where I was coming up short and for giving me the opportunity to get it together. That in and of itself was worth it all. I am grateful to my heavenly father that he loves me so much that not only does he fine tunes me, but he also fines tune my fine tuning!

      In the book of Deuteronomy 19:15 in the B clause it says that "at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established. You must catch that. All you have to do is get two or three scriptures that deal with the matter and watch God perform his word Deuteronomy 17:6 (kjv) says "At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death. With that bit of information, you can put to death or give life to any situation, using the word of course. Remember the power of life and death is in the tongue.

      Now for the third scripture to solidify what I am saying. In the book of 2 Corinthians 13:1(kjv) Paul said to them This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. (other scriptures that pertain to this: Numbers 35:30, Matthew 18:16, John 8:17, 1 Timothy 5:19 and Hebrew 10:28).

      God says that he will hasten to perform his word. Get two or three scriptures dealing with that thing that you are going through and when you pray, bring God in remembrance of his word. Remember He said that He is no respecter of persons so if He did it then will He not make it so now! Of course, He will, He’s God.

      His word is bond no matter WHAT’S THE MATTER, The Word Works. Remember he said, "I AM THAT I AM". That very thing that you are dealing with God says I AM THAT I AM. Knowing that God will hasten to perform his word, we go to him in prayer taking his word with us. So now, What’s the Matter?
