Number System
Introduction
N
umber system is the method of writing larger numbers in a simple way by using only 10 values (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9). These values are called as Digits
and a group of digits is called as Number
. There are different types of numbers. These numbers are as follows:
Natural Numbers
Those numbers which are used for counting purpose are called as Natural numbers. These are denoted by N.
N = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ……}
Whole Numbers
By adding 0 to the set of natural numbers, the set thus formed is called as whole numbers. These are denoted by W.
W = {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ……}
All natural number are whole numbers but not
