MSN MPH Reeves Jessica
Jessica Reeves is a Nurse Practitioner who is as interested in the well being of her fellow providers as that of her patients. Ready to leave big-box medicine and its assembly line culture, she opened her private practice for less than $2000, and shares the story in hopes of providing a template to inspire fellow clinicians who are ready to spread their wings.Jessica earned her Master's degree in Nursing at Simmons College, and immediately followed that with a Master's degree in Public Health at Dartmouth College. She lives and works in New Hampshire, in a town that holds the world record for most lit jack-o-lanterns (really). When she is not working, she is spending time with her husband, Timothy, and Labrador, Kelly - and no matter what she is doing, she will be there on time.

INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on taking a big step in opening your own private practice -that’s huge! It’s a dream of many, but a reality of only a few. Why? Because there is risk and a lot of hard work. Once you embrace those facts, you will realize that there is also a great amount of reward waiting for you.
Other than the details of how you can open your own private practice efficiently and for peanuts, I want you to know that you can do this. One of the biggest gifts that you can give yourself as you go through the planning process – and then the execution of that plan – is to keep your momentum. Some days you will make great strides, other days it might feel like you are not getting much done at all. The most important thing is to keep putting one foot in front of the other – it is so true that 90% of success is just showing up.
