Introduction by Danni Winn
Something that I find great joy in, is the opportunity to show that horror fans are a special breed of individuals. More often than not, horror fanatics are genuine, compassionate, and give generously when called upon.
This particular effort, 'Out of the Shadows,' spearheaded by Donovan Monster
Smith, is no exception. Taking complete advantage of the platform awarded to him via Red Cape Publishing, Donovan was eager to not only showcase some of the writing talents embedded within the horror community, but the heart and soul of every person contributing, reading, and purchasing this anthology.
Deep in the American southwestern desert, in the state of Arizona, lies an independent, non-profit home that lovingly embraces its young, at-risk, LGBTQ+ residents that have been abused, neglected, or displaced. Offering hope, guidance, education, and structure is just the beginning of what Mulligan's Manor offers these kids and why they are the benefactor of this heartfelt collection.
Flesh-Eaters
David Owain Hughes
When Raven returned home from Glaring Graffiti, she stripped off and got into the shower. She then unwrapped her new thigh tattoo, tossed the bloody bandages aside, and started the water.
"Fucking sick!" she said, looking at the creation, as excess blood and ink sluiced off her, revealing a huge, black and white, Hammer Horror-esque graveyard scene filled with mist and zombies.

It All Started with An Itch
Matt Doyle
"It all started with an itch. The twenty-eight-year-old victim remains unnamed at the request of the family but had apparently made several calls to his doctor to discuss something rather strange.
"The man described it as feeling like hundreds of tiny fingers were moving around inside his stomach, on the interior stomach wall. This sensation got progressively stronger until he eventually rang the emergency services, panicked and screaming in agony.
By the time they arrived, he was already dead. The later autopsy revealed hundreds of juvenile tarantulas nesting between his organs, having seemingly eaten their way out of his stomach.
A Bargain Paid
Melanie Vukusich
The stone stood upright, a stoic sentinel at the edge of the moor. Evening mist came in, dampening her skin like it dampened the sound of something slick and cumbersome being yanked across the heather in quick spurts. She knew the hand-twisted bast fibers would hold until she reached the stone.
Enveloped in the mist, she smelled the earthy perfume of the bog beyond the stone. She passed the stone, marking it with his blood. Her feet knew the way in the dark. His heartbeat dwindling, she slipped her burden into
