About this ebook
Tank was well known to white wolves as an ally and a protector. When he met Missy, his feelings were protective in the way a bear had for a mate.
Missy was confused. Tank was an amazing hunk, but she wasn't sure she wanted to mate. He'd rented a room off her at her house. It had been a lucky thing since she'd been targeted by wolves wanting a white wolf mate.
Could Tank claim her before some wolf took her away from him?
Crystal Dawn
When she’s not out hunting rogue vampires and werewolves, you can find Crystal Dawn out exploring the galaxy. She can do it all without ever leaving her computer. She kicks ass, takes names, and puts it all down for the enjoyment of her readers. At least that’s what I think she told me. Writing came as a natural outlet for her overly creative mind. She has always told stories and even written some but publishing books didn't start until 2012 with The Rebirth, was the first of the Planet Amazon books. Crystal has also been lucky to have some wonderful beta readers who keep her on track and help inspire her.Secretly, she crushes on all her sexy heroes because all her stories end happily. That is one of the things that makes writing such a joy. Knowing that it makes her reader's day a little brighter. Not that she doesn't read sad books sometimes. While still in school, she read Where the Red Fern Grows and cried like a baby. It was a wonderful book and sometimes a bit of sadness has to be put in books because that's part of life. While she reads all kinds of books at some time or another, PNR and SFR, which she writes is what she reads the most for pleasure. When she started writing, she decided on going Indie after the first two books because an author has more control. She believes Indie will compete well and continues to grow. The need to give pleasure to her readers keeps her going and she sees a long career ahead. Growing up mostly in the NW Arkansas area, it has given her a good place to set some stories and many of her characters come from there or nearby SW Missouri. The start of her stories is the easy part. Finishing them is a little harder when all the stories are in there trying to get out. She loves reading, chocolate, fine sweet wine, and traveling among a large list of pursuits. Her favorite people, after her family and close friends, are her readers who she says are some of the most wonderful people in this galaxy and the next.

Prologue
She remembered him telling her stories at bedtime when she was little. His German roots had gone deep even though he’d been born here. Grandpa spoke often about his Opa, a German version of grandpa, who had come from near the Black Forest. The area had been ripe with tales of elves, dwarves, and witches. Magic had abounded and his stories were full of it.
Today, in the cold and rain, she laid him to rest. She tossed a red rose on his coffin as she prayed, he would move on. This world had never been good enough for him. Her Grandpa had deserved so much more than it had ever given him. Especially at the end.
Breast cancer, a woman’s disease, had taken his strength and his dignity. She’d taken care of him, but he’d been embarrassed by the loss of control he’d had over his body and all the care he’d needed until he got so bad that he just didn’t care anymore, and he wanted to move on. Had he lingered for her? Yes, she’d wanted him to stay with her until she saw how terrible the pain had gotten. No one should have to deal with that level of pain.
Finally, she’d had to tell him that she understood. It was amazing how all he’d done was tell her he loved her, and he was gone. She’d not expected it to be so fast. When she’d called to report his death, the ambulance and a sheriff’s deputy had shown up in about half an hour. The deputy was to ensure there had been no foul play and the ambulance, that was just in case she was wrong. Neither had been the case and she was left to arrange his funeral and see to his estate.
He’d been a careful man, and everything had been arranged. There was a trust and he’d left everything to her. His other grandkids hadn’t bothered to come around, but now they were unhappy he’d not left anything to them. She’d had no siblings, these were her cousins, and she just didn’t care what they thought. None of them had even bothered to come to the funeral.
It was time to pull her life together since she’d dropped everything to come home. The family farm was now hers as well as a small account to help her get by for now. Her grandpa had urged her to take this time to write a book. This might be her only chance to attempt to be an author. Her father had relatives that had pursued such careers. She would live on the farm and not be far from one of them. Her cuz Ariel had encouraged her too and she would give it a shot now.
This had been her mother’s father. Her dad’s relatives were so much nicer than those on her mother’s side. She’d tried to like them, but grandpa had said don’t bother. They are selfish and greedy, and he’d been right.
Chapter 1
Moving On
Things were different now. He was gone and she needed to move on. What she needed to do first was come up with a plan then follow it. Money would be a concern and if she could find a way to work part time it would help. One problem was there was more work on the poor run-down farm than she could ever hope to do on her own. Grandpa had been ill a while and things had gone to pieces.
There were still a few cows and pigs. Even a horse or two remained. The barn was full of hay which kept well since it was sheltered. Their garden was mostly in poor shape except for a small part she’d kept up with. The fences were awful, and the house needed work. Upstairs was the equivalent of an apartment that could be rented to a small family. This was after all a big old farmhouse. There were four bedrooms on the other two levels, and she could rent out three of them for now.
Normally, she loved her privacy but right now, money ruled. Ariel would be her best advisor. Usually, she’d never just drop in on someone, but Ariel lived around a pack and people were in and out all the time.
Today was no exception and she saw several guys she didn’t know giving her the eye. One took a deep breath. No doubt he scented human, and he lost interest. Two others looked undecided. The last guy was hot as hell. Tall, dark, handsome and muscled nicely, his interest was intact. It was really a shame she had no time to stay a bit.
Ariel didn’t act as excited as she usually did. Maybe these were people she didn’t want to let know anything about their private relationship. Hello, Ariel. I came by to discuss some business.
The other two guys lost any interest they had retained. Sure. Let’s go to my office. Tank. This might interest you.
Ariel suggested.
Yes, if was the guy she liked. He looked vaguely familiar. They all three went into her office. Those other guys are a drain to be around.
Ariel admitted. I think I know what you want, and I can help you. Tank, aren’t you looking for a temporary place to stay while you remodel your cabin?
"Yes, just a room for a
