About this ebook
Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Book Preview:
#1 The future of human civilization often starts with something simple, like a buzz from your phone. You have a choice: freak out, lose your shit, or pause and follow the principles of Longpath.
#2 The Longpath mindset is a way of thinking and acting that seeks out comity and union with all other living and nonliving things across time and space. It helps us prioritize the things that truly matter and recognize what doesn’t.
#3 When we feel our initial impulse to reject the new material, and when we feel our initial impulse to hassle Ruby about her Spanish, we are doing what humans do: warding off a seemingly immediate threat, trying to fit in with the tribe. But when we pause and consider the bigger picture, we are practicing Longpath.
#4 I grew up in a home that was a series of contradictions. I wanted to attend the US Army’s academy at West Point, but instead I studied Peace and Conflict Studies at Berkeley. I spent workdays strategizing for dot-coms in Silicon Valley and weekends meditating in Marin County.
