      What does Self-Cycle mean?

      Self-Cycle is not dark.

      It is not light.

      It is raw.

      If you came to read a book of poetry where the reader finds love and happiness, or dwells in the darkness of depression, this is not the book for that. This is the tale of both forms of expression, given in its most raw form.

      I present to you, my first cycle in life.

      Pray

      I remember the first time I prayed to God.

      I had felt the strength of the Lord shake my fragile soul. I became so strong I tossed the door wide open, slammed it and locked myself in the four corners of our room. My knees flung to the carpet and rug burn inflamed me. I held my own hands so tightly and cried to God. I bashed my head to the ground and begged him to listen.

      Dear Christ Almighty, give me the strength to get through this panic attack. Give him and I the willpower to change. Give me the patience to wait through the storm. Please God please please please.

      You came in from the bathroom and after all the nasty words exchanged, my pleading, now I was left weak and vulnerable. Now is when you take me in your arms. Naive little me began to think
