About this ebook

How old is the earth? Have you ever wondered what happened to the dinosaurs? And the Neanderthals? Was there a pre-Adamic civilization? And what about the watchers, Nephilim, the aliens, the pyramids, and the all-seeing eye? What does all that mean? Is there a connection? And were those who died during the flood (in the days of Noah) really human? And where did the different races come from? Most importantly, have you ever wondered what the Bible says about any of this? In storylike form, authors Daniel Manriquez and Jessica Serrano answer these hidden mysteries and explain certain parts of the Bible (including the creation of our world, the flood, and the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus), in such a way that even a child could understand it. This book is intended to not only revolutionize your theological beliefs (and to dispel any so-called biblical contradictions) but also to start an awakening as to what is written and what is really out there.

    Special Thanks

To everyone who was involved in the movement to end indefinite solitary confinement in California. It was because of you that we no longer have to eat and drink out of old milk cartons like dogs. If it were not for your sacrifices, my loved ones would not have been able to purchase the typewriter that I used to write this book. And I would still be in my dungeon today! Thank you.

To my dear friend Sandy. While my ideas about writing a book and my views on a corrupt system might have sounded crazy to others, you were that friend who believed in me and encouraged me to do well. I will always be grateful.

To Rudy. You are as much my brother as Jerry and Eddie. If I could think of one person who was there for me and my family throughout the years, it was you. Thank you, brother.

    Dedication

To my father, Angel. It’s been six years since you left this world. Although they say that things get better with time, to me time stood still, and a void and sadness remains. I miss you, Dad. The day I see you again will be the day that I am whole.

To my mother, Martha. I can never think of a time when you weren’t there. You have been the perfect mother. It is because of you that I never gave up. None of this would have been possible without you. I love you, Momma.

To my brother Jerry. You have always put others’ needs ahead of your own. Thank you for all that you have done for our mother and me. I love you, brother.

To my brother Eddie. When our father passed away, you stepped up and not only made sure that our mother was taken care of but that I was as well. I will always be grateful for all you have done. I love you, brother.

To my sister, Myrna. I know things have been hard, but they will get better. No matter what, you will always be my little sister even though you look older than I. Hahaha. Love you, sis.

To my precious Andy. Growing up without me, you never had a chance to hear me tell you a story. I now tell you this one. May you and Aiden understand it better than I. I love you. One day our relationship will improve. You just have to allow it.

To my little Aiden. Whenever I feel sadness, all I have to do is look at a picture of you and it brightens my day. I love you, my little one. May this story give you knowledge and wisdom, and may it bless you all the days of your life.

To my little Raymond. You have always been my little boy. Don’t let the dumb things others do upset you. You have always been perfect in my eyes and have been a joy to my life. I love you, son. Always remember that.

To my little David. You have also brought joy to my life. Talking to you always reminds me of what it is like to be happy. Thank you for being you, and for the smiles you bring to momma. I love you, son.

Last, but not least, to Jessica. Where do I start? For many years, you sacrificed so much to make this work. I don’t know how you did it. And though we eventually parted ways, I never held it against you, because I would often think about the fact that if there was one person whom I could count on to be there and help me with my case, it was you. When you went your way, I distracted myself with work and with this book. And without even knowing that I was writing it, you returned shortly before it was completed. Perhaps this is why you parted from me for a while (that I may finish this work), that I may have you back forever. Whatever it was, I have always loved you. And it now seems clear—we never went our separate ways. I love you!

    Forever yours,

    Daniel Manriquez

    To my honey, Daniel

I love you, honey. My life isn’t complete without you. I thank God for finding me my soul mate. Our babies and I love you with all of our hearts.

    Love always,

    Jessica

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened; and the ears of the deaf unstopped... and the lame man shall leap as a hart and the tongue of the mute shall sing... And a highway shall be there. and it shall be called the way of holiness. Even if they are fools they SHALL NOT go astray.

    —Isaiah 35:5, 8

    Prologue

When books like the Wizard of Oz, Harry Potter, and the like came out, many complained that they encouraged the practice of sorcery, witchcraft, idolatry, etc. But no one offered an alternative that explained what any of this really is and why it’s wrong. Sure, many preachers pointed at their Bibles and quoted a plethora of scriptures showing why such items should be avoided. But honestly, most kids and adults did not understand what these ministers meant. They only saw an angry preacher.

You can’t tell kids to avoid something without providing a better alternative. And you can’t tell them something is wrong unless you can explain why. I believe this book does both.

I wrote about 98% of this book while inside my dungeon at Pelican Bay State Prison’s Security Housing Unit, (Solitary Confinement). What started off as a ten-day project intended to tell a fictional account of an angel’s reaction to the crucifixion turned into a six-month project of many things that I believe to be true.¹

Initially, I started writing this for adults, and it inexplicably turned into something which also speaks to children! I have to admit that I was bothered by writing certain things such as what the devil might have thought or said during his rebellion against God. I felt that it might be too strong for kids, but then again so is all the junk your kids are being exposed to! So we might as well explain what it is and why it’s wrong.

I realize that some of the things which I have written may be controversial. But they’re still biblical, whether you find them controversial or not. For example, I don’t believe that when man was created the entire Earth was a Garden of Eden. Otherwise, they would have been removed from the Earth when they were expelled from the garden. I also do not believe that the Earth is six thousand years old. Although it is true that present Earth is a little over six thousand years old (Exodus 31:17), it is also true that there is a time gap between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. And during that time gap there existed a pre-Adamic civilization which inhabited this world for millions, if not billions, of years.

My belief stems from the writings of Peter, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel, which all speak of the former world which was destroyed as a result of Satan’s rebellion against God (see 2 Peter 2:5–7, Ezekiel 28:16–17, Jeremiah 4:23–29) We all know that Lucifer fell long before the first humans were created, and yet Ezekiel explains that when Lucifer fell, God threw him into the ground "and turned [him] into ashes on the earth in the sight of all who saw [him] (Ezekiel 28:18–19). God described those who saw Satan’s fall as Peoples" (ibid). God could not have thrown Satan into the Earth, unless a prior Earth existed. And no one could have seen Lucifer’s body turned into ashes unless there was a pre-Adamic civilization!

To believe otherwise begs the question, where did the dinosaurs and Neanderthals go? We can’t say they died in the flood because it is not only contradicted by science but also belied by the Bible. Remember, God told Noah to bring into the ark two or more of each animal. Therefore, if all the dinosaurs and Neanderthals were killed in the flood, then that means Noah disobeyed God! And we know that’s not true because the Bible says, twice, that Noah did all that God commanded him, with respect to bringing into the ark two or more of each animal! (Genesis 6:20–22; Genesis 7:2–3, 5).

So believing that a Pre-Adamic civilization inhabited the former Earth does not contradict the scriptures. If anything, it does
