Phoebe Garnsworthy

Phoebe Garnsworthy is an Australian author who seeks to discover magic in everyday life. She has travelled the world extensively, exploring eastern and western philosophies alike, while studying the influences that these beliefs have on humanity. The intention of her writing is to encourage conscious living and unconditional love. From the Author: I have been believing in magic for all of my life.  Since I was in the middle grade, the universe called my name and enticed me . . . inspiring me to daydream for endless hours in wondrous lust. Through my imagination I escaped to enchanted worlds full with witches, mermaids, wizards and fairies. I always searching for ways to escape my reality with something more exciting. By the time I was a young adult, I discovered that magic not only existed but was attainable to all of us through a spiritual connection to life. And it was from here that my journey of self-discovery of the world that was inside of me began. I travelled and learnt as much as possible from spiritual leaders and ancient philosophical texts. I walked across incredible lands, met real-life witches, shamans and angels who showed me how we can utilize our natural resources on Earth to heal ourselves and bring peace to the world around us. And I weave these teachings of mindfulness, conscious living, meditation, astral travel, chakras, quantum physics and many more throughout my novels. They are constantly evolving and infinitely changing. My writings reflect my dance with the mysterious and wonderful, an intoxicating love in a world that’s overflowing with beauty and magic.  I’ve never stopped believing in magic nor dreaming about alternate realities. I swim with mermaids every time I touch the ocean and I practice spiritual witchcraft daily. I am surrounded with inspirational people who I consider Kings and Queens. Everything is possible if you only dared to dream. Everything is perfectly beautiful, if you only chose to see. I want to show you how magical you are, how wonderful the world is, and how much love you hold inside. My love is unconditional and forever lasting, Phoebe Garnsworthy www.lostnowhere.com

Sacred Space Rituals - Phoebe Garnsworthy

    Creating Your Sacred Ritual

Creating rituals is an important spiritual tool used to support our ultimate goals. When we speak our intentions to the Universe, we are co-creating our future. And when we complement this practice with a ritual, our manifestations elevate and escalate to fruition.

To create your ritual you need to do three things:

Define your space. This can be achieved by creating a sacred altar.

State your intention. Speak it out loud, write it down, or visualize the outcome you desire.

Invite in spiritual energy to support your intention by creating an action.

When these three aspects are combined, you have successfully created your sacred ritual.

To create your sacred altar and define your space, gather items to represent the following elements—earth, air, water, fire, and spirit. You can add more than five items to your altar, but this is a good start. Some suggestions are as follows:

Earth is connected to nature and provides grounding, security and harvesting. Symbols for earth could be a crystal, rock, plant or bowl of dirt.

Water represents our emotional well-being. It is used for reflection, healing, and nurturing. Symbols for water could be a shell, a jar of water, or salt.

Air signifies knowledge, courage, clarity, and detachment. Symbols for air could be a feather, essential oils, or incense.

Fire initiates creative and sexual energy, strength, and protection. Symbols for fire could be a candle, a piece of wood, or something red.

Spirit praises our eternal self, our soul, and the source of life force energy. Choose something to represent yourself or your ancestors. It could be a photo, a figurine, or a drawing you created.

Set up your sacred altar by placing your items in a way that feels beautiful to you. There is no right or wrong way to do this. Trust the power within your heart, and allow Spirit to guide you. Have fun with it.

Spiritual energy is attracted to beauty and high vibrations, so create those vibrations within yourself as you display your sacred altar. You may change this altar daily, or never at all. Just do what feels good to you.

Now to ignite your ritual. Choose an action that opens up your channel with the spirit world. This action will symbolize that your ritual has commenced. If you aren’t sure what to do, a simple moment of slow, deep breaths can invite peace into your mind and ignite the connection with your soul. I like to ring a bell, burn some sage, or place my hands on my heart with my eyes closed and hum three times.

Once you have signified that your ritual has commenced, call out to the energy of each item on your altar and ask for its blessing and guidance. A simple way to do this is by interacting with each object in your ritual space by giving thanks to that energy, or requesting specific guidance from its powers. Allow yourself the freedom to be drawn to the elements in whatever way you wish. Some days you may choose to call upon only a few energies, other days you may want to call upon all of them. Allow your intuition to guide you on how it wishes to be honored.

Once you have created a sacred space you feel comfortable with, and ignited the commencement of your ritual, it’s time to set your intention. To find this, ask yourself:

What is the reason for my ritual?

What do I hope to achieve by calling upon this power from the Universe?

    Examples:

I am igniting this ritual to...

I call upon the energy of the Universe to support my vision of...

After you have clarified your intention, find an action that supports your desire. Choose one that will intensify your connection to the spirit world. A suggestion for this action could be a meditation with visualization, a journaling exercise, or a movement with ritual objects and spell work.

Throughout this book, I will be suggesting an action to correspond with each element to support your ritual practice. Try them out and see what resonates with you. Keep your journal and pen next to your altar so you may write down your manifestations and any messages that come through.

As you learn to understand what each element represents, you may find yourself more drawn to certain actions or objects throughout your practices. Go with that feeling. Allow your soul to magnetically draw you closer to it. Try to incorporate this energy into your daily life. For example, if you find yourself drawn to the grounding energy that the element of earth provides, you may wish to connect with your crystals during meditation. In your daily life, make an effort to go for a walk in nature weekly. If you recognize that fire energy is calling to you, be sure to light a candle in your ritual practice and during the day spend time in the sun and allow yourself to connect with that heat more deeply.

The purpose of your sacred altar is to honor your soul with self-love and self-care. As you cultivate this energy in your sacred space, you will bring forth a deeper connection between you and your soul in your daily life. The more you practice connecting with the spiritual realm and calling out to your soul, the louder the voice of your intuition will become; and therefore, the easier you will travel along your life path. Because when we align with the energy of our soul, we can learn about our life purpose, and live with certainty. When we listen to our intuition, we walk confidently toward our destiny, and in this space, there is no room for regret or past pain. Our soul wants us to live a life full of abundance and prosperity. The best way for us to do this is by listening to its wisdom and acting upon its guidance. You can strengthen the voice of your soul by igniting rituals and deepening your spiritual practice.

Journaling Questions to help you create your sacred space:

Where in my house or garden could I create a sacred space to ignite my rituals?

What items do I already have that represent each of the five elements?

    When calling in
