    INTRODUCTION

    COVID-19 brought in its wake myriad of changes not only personally but individually and in our work and our learning and development. One of those areas is virtual training. Some in the learning and development field thought that once Covid disappeared, so would virtual training. Wrong on both fronts, Covid remained, and virtual training is here to stay. Some people are not fans of virtual training. They find it boring, lacking in interactivity, and too linear, a one-way source of communication. This poor training style can be different and does not have to be the case. You can host an engaging virtual learning event or class every time. I call it the ICVET (pronounced ice-vet) method, which is:

    Captivating Introduction

    Engaging Content

    Appealing Visual

    Solid Ending

    Interactive Tools

    Following all my advice in this book and practicing will ensure that you become a guru in the virtual classroom providing high-energy and engaging virtual learning events.

    Keeping learning engaged in a virtual setting can be a daunting task. It takes planning, skills, and practice to effectively learn and develop in a virtual arena.
