The Big Game
At the Dungeon Academy, it was time for a special event! Now, Dungeon Academy might be a school just for monsters, but they love sports, too. The favorite sport of monsters is called Goreball. It is scary and fun, and played on a big, open field. A goopy creature with many mouths chases the teams back and forth. The team that makes the goop follow them to the goal the most is the winner. It sounds easy, but it takes skill! The goop is called a gibbering mouther.
It talks so much it can make you dizzy. It also likes to spit. Gross!
But still, the monsters love Goreball, especially Snabla. Snabla is a member of the Danger Club (today, Team Danger Club), and he likes Goreball best of all. Snabla’s a kobold, which is a little like a lizard, a little like a dog. He’s bold and brave and wears a shield. On a sunny day, Snabla invites all his friends outside to play Goreball. His friends are also part of the Danger Club team. They are best-friend monsters who go on adventures together. They also have a secret—one of them is not a monster at all! Her name is Zellidora Zelli
Stormclash. Zelli is a human who wears horns and a tail and pretends to be a minotaur so she can fit in with the monsters. She does not like Goreball even though her mother, a real minotaur, is the coach. But Zelli is Snabla’s friend and agrees to meet him on the field.
Hugo, a big, fluffy, and feathery owlbear, comes with Zelli. Hugo is also part of the Danger Club. Unlike other
