Jacquelin F. Grant – born and resides in Jamaica, is a close associate of Dr. B. Daley MB, BS, and has since 1995 after having firsthand experience of health restoration from many ailments including back pains, chronic sinusitis, chronic constipation, allergies, constant nervousness, susceptibility to viral infections and more, with the use of diet and supplements attained what she now consider, good health. She has since embarked on rigorous research with an aim to educate ailing people to good health and others to health maintenance. This she has been doing for more than ten years. Persons who have benefited from her research so far are those diagnosed with cancer, stone formation, diabetes, hypertension, prostatitis, muscle wasting, constipation, chronic headache, acid reflux and more.Interestingly her research has helped many students abroad who sought help on their nutritional assignments via Yahoo Answers. She thought to help her own compatriots and others. Her research is based on finding out the truth about nutrition on the premise that “all that is natural is good to eat”. Her aim is to use her publications to educate as many people as possible, so that they will have the opportunity to, with the use of proper food proportions and supplementation, take control of their health, thus managing the chronic conditions that cannot be cured and cure others. In addition to her nutritional interest she also indulge in a little graphic design, creating print items such as cake boxes (favor box), invitations and programs for weddings. This was her first love before researching nutrition. Later she introduced photography, registering with multiple platforms such as Adobe Stock, Alamy, Dreamstime and Depositphotos that she contributes photos for licensing.

Introduction
Worldwide, many people are hypertensive. Others are hypotensive without knowing it. Those who are hypertensive have used various methods to regulate their blood pressure. These methods range from herbs, supplements, and low sodium diet to prescribed medication. While some can have their blood pressure controlled, others seem not to be able to do so. What could be the reason for this?
With an emphasis on the need for a balanced diet, this book suggests how to regulate your blood pressure using available foods in a combination that will produce practical health benefits – health benefits that aid in regulating your blood pressure. It also looks at the possible effect of eliminating selective foods and foods that promote and maintain normal pressure.
However, to benefit fully from this book, you must read "Nutrition That Keeps You Alive.
Nutrition That Keeps You Alive" details the four primary nutritional groups and micronutrients; their sources and how they promote good health. It highlights the diet concept that is balance and sustainable and how it influences your health.
BLOOD PRESSURE
Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a medical condition in which constricted arterial blood vessels increase blood flow resistance, causing increased blood pressure against vessel walls. The two measurements used to describe blood pressure are systolic and diastolic. The systolic, usually expressed over the diastolic, is the higher reading. An adult's average healthy blood pressure reading is 120/80 mm Hg. (millimetres of mercury). Systolic pressure measures when the heart contracts to empty blood into the circulatory system – in other words, when the heart pumps. Diastolic pressure measures when the heart relaxes (between beats) and fills with blood.
The systolic reading of Pre-hypertension ranges from 125 to 139 mm Hg with a diastolic range of 85 to 90 mm Hg. Stage one hypertension ranges from a systolic of 140 to 159 mm Hg with diastolic reading ranging from 91 to 99 mm Hg. Lifestyle changes, including dietary adjustments, are recommended to regulate stage one hypertension. Blood pressure of 160 mm Hg and higher, over 100 mm Hg and higher is classified as stage two hypertension, in which case drug treatment and lifestyle changes become necessary.
While the cause of most hypertension is unknown, any condition that dilates or constricts the arteries or affects their elasticity, or any heart disease that interferes with its pumping power, affects blood pressure. A wide range of factors influences blood pressure. For instance, blood pressure naturally increases with age because the arteries lose the elasticity that, in younger people, absorbs the force of heart contractions. The cholesterol deposit on the artery walls will create rigidity and narrowing, resulting in high blood pressure. Factors such as emotions, exercise or stress may temporarily raise blood pressure.
Renin, an enzyme secreted by the kidney in response to stress, is involved in the production of angiotensin, which causes the arteries to constrict, thereby raising blood pressure. Another way the kidney plays a significant role in regulating blood pressure is by retaining or excreting salt. Sodium is necessary for regulating water balance. The balance between water intake and water loss from the kidneys, lungs, skin and intestine regulates water and sodium. The kidneys play a significant role in adjusting urine concentration to match salt intake and loss to prevent hypernatremia (increased blood level of sodium). Hypernatremia may result from the disequilibrium of
