It is only a small planet lost in the vast mantle of the Milky Way, still harboring a primary life: immense steppes providing shelter and cover for wild animals and a few human tribes taking advantage of the little nutritional largesse Nature gives them. But that was more than enough for the albino people… Osh'Kalishan was the greatest beater, an illustrious hunter with fine hearing and sharp eyes. One day he goes on a hunting expedition, accompanied by the young Ash'Ranashan who is just emerging from childhood, but his ego was hard as rock, impossible to shape. So they make the trip across the immense steppe, among the lions, and antelopes, making an encounter which the stars will judge at nightfall...

Osh'Kalishan gazes at the vast ether folds. Constellations sparkle like a set of diamonds. A subtle summer wind ruffles his chalk-white mane, the rebellious locks rising under its playful assaults as his spiky eyebrows pick up the fragrant subtleties of the meadow bluegrass. The darkness is soft and pleasant. The daytime heat of a blazing sun settles in the coolness of the night. The bewitching song of crickets and other insects of the night monopolize the soundtrack of the living environment he had chosen, not for its wild beauty but for the guarantee of a nutritional contribution which the overwhelming meadow offers him day after day. When the troop of lions slip away, he hunts antelopes with their caprioles alert. The graceful flight of a huge manta ray disturbs his blissful vision of the panorama. The creature flies over the plain
