Winning The War On Pests! Tips and Tactics From The Pros - Steve Rohal ACE. CPCO
Congratulations to you for purchasing Winning The War On Pests! Tips and Tactics From The Pros.
When unwanted pests enter our homes and businesses it means war! True pests can cause us bodily harm and structural damage. I’ll help you design a combat plan using professional tips and tactics tested at the front lines of the pest war that you can use to engage the enemy and safely win your battle with harmful pests. Protect your property, your food, your family, and your health. And while these are essential parts of all our lives, and deserve proper attention, you will save hundreds of dollar$ by doing it properly yourself!
I have been active in this pest war for 40 years. I am an Associate Certified Entomologist and work as an expert consultant able to offer sworn testimony in legal cases involving pest problems. I have owned two professional termite and pest management companies in Florida, U.S.A and worked for an international pest company. I am a certified professional and with this book I will help you engage the pest enemy in all forms. Termites, spiders, cockroaches, ants, rats, mice, bed bugs, beetles, silverfish, fleas, ticks, bees and wasps. I can even offer suggestions about pests requiring fumigation of structures using a deadly gas.
Calling a legitimate pest professional for help will cost you $150-$350 US for simple control measures. More serious problems may cost you $500-$1500. I am going to share with you the same tips and tactics that the professional charges for and uses to control your pest problem. Now you can easily do it yourself and pay a fraction of the cost!
A pest is defined as a nuisance, destructive, or an injurious thing causing harm. Many insects and rodents are harmless. My book will focus only on those insects and rodents that are considered destructive, a nuisance, or are injurious to our lives - pests.
I’ve collected and have included for your use Homemade Remedies that will consist of common and natural ingredients that are usually easily obtained. You will find these throughout the book. Be aware that while most ‘natural’ ingredients are not harmful, some can be toxic and should be used carefully.
Important Caution: always read and follow the product manufacturer label instructions supplied with the material or chemical you choose to use. This will be found written on the box, can, bag, or online. Take time to read them! Here you will find instructions on proper mixing, amount to use, equipment needed to apply them, where and how to safely use it, clean up required, and any other safety precaution important to know.
Thank You and Enjoy Saving $

The Enemy: Cockroaches
Some say cockroaches , also known as 'waterbugs' in a polite attempt to lessen the blow of having these dirty creatures living with you, have been hanging around here on earth for more than 400 million years! The Bible refers to them as a pestilence, a malady, and a plague. Picture a kitchen thousands of years ago with the cook whacking scurrying cockroaches while trying to keep them out of the soup.
You're not alone in your contempt for this filthy creature.
""There are over 4000 species of cockroach and some can actually digest wood like termites. Only a fraction of cockroach species though can be considered pests because most inhabit ant nests, wasp nests, termite colony nests, caves, and animal burrows and do not impact humans.
Where is the Enemy?
The problems begin because cockroaches contaminate sewers, food, appliances, cabinets, cookbooks, clocks, microwave ovens, dishes and drinking glasses, silverware, wall hangings and countertops with their excrement (poop). They secrete a foul odor which can permeate the very environment of our homes and buildings. Many people will develop, or already have, allergies to these insects stemming from their excrement and shed skin casings from molting as the insect grows. One study showed that almost 10% of 253 'normal' people had allergic skin responses to cockroach extracts and almost 30% of 114 'allergic' people had allergic responses from the same extracts. The allergens associated with this enemy become airborne along with normal household dust and then are inhaled, or the allergens are ingested when they contact our food. This can be a trigger for asthma attacks.
Because of these things the cockroach is considered by entomologists to be one of the worst household pests. This pest enemy will attack you as just one that crawls or flies in, or one may unknowingly be brought home from a grocery store in packaging, or from the home of a friend whose home is infested.
One will become many if not attacked as soon as you notice the cockroach infestation.
A mature female produces an egg case which can contain dozens of baby cockroaches ready to start a cockroach lifecycle. Depending on the species of cockroach involved, the egg case may be dropped off loose to hatch, glued to a wall, carried until hatching, or hidden away under and behind counters and cabinets to hatch in a protected spot. Here’s a sobering thought : One can become hundreds in just months.
Battle Plan
If we successfully eliminate or protect the things needed by the cockroach to live, and effectively seal and guard our homes from their entry, we can successfully win the battle with them!
Outside
Trim trees and shrubs away from home
Clean gutters of debris
Cover outside garbage containers
Keep clutter away from the home foundation
Seal windows/doors and any cracks/holes outside of home - use an expanding foam product or caulking. Fix leaking plumbing. Repair window
