Every school leader’s overarching goal is to build a great school.
As a school leader, your primary task is to create a great and competent team that can help you build a great school, and this starts with the question, How do I get the right people into our schools?
Having the right people on board doing the right things is in everyone’s interest. Schools should be filled with people who are mission doers that can help the school attain its goals. Many of us focus more on developing programs, but programs do not make great things happen in schools; people do.
As a School leader, you should see staff openings as an opportunity for personal growth, the growth of your school, and a move towards ultimate greatness for your school.
Good leaders know that they are only as good as good as their team. The quickest way to improve our schools is to hire great teachers at every opportunity. The goal should be to hire people who the school can become like; people who are greater and better people than our current
