    A Brief History of AI

    The term Artificial Intelligence was coined in 1956 by John McCarthy, a computer scientist who organized the Dartmouth Conference, widely considered the birthplace of AI as a field of study. This conference brought together leading researchers to brainstorm how to create machines that could use language, form abstractions and concepts, solve kinds of problems now reserved for humans, and improve themselves.
