Reflections of Reality

About this ebook
This book is not an attempt to console or inspire, nor is it a naive hope that "everything will be fine." It is an honest look at how time shapes our perception, why adults often seem cynical, and why youthful enthusiasm inevitably fades. Perhaps this is inevitable, or perhaps we ourselves contribute to this process.
I write based on my experiences, observations, and reflections on the world. I am neither a scientist nor a psychologist, but I am someone who observes and reflects. Perhaps, while reading this book, you will recognize a part of yourself, learn something new, or gain fresh ideas.

As the years go by, I increasingly notice how not only the world changes but also my perspective on it. What once seemed beautiful and magical in childhood often now evokes indifference or even sadness. Has the world changed, or have I?
When you are a child, the world seems simple – people are good, happiness is within reach, and the future is full of possibilities. But over time, this belief crumbles. Fatigue, routine, and losses appear. Some things that once brought joy become mere everyday occurrences. Some people who were important disappear from our lives.
This book is not an attempt to console or inspire, nor is it a naive hope that everything will be fine.
It is an honest look at how time shapes our perception, why adults often seem cynical, and why youthful enthusiasm inevitably fades. Perhaps this is inevitable, or perhaps we ourselves contribute to this process.

Chapter 1: Childhood – A World of Illusions
In childhood, we do not yet grasp the true nature of the world. It seems that all people are good, that friendship is eternal, and that adults have answers to all questions. This is an illusion that we carry with us for a long time—for some, it lasts until adolescence, while for others, it shatters in early childhood.
The first cracks appear when we encounter the cruelty of others. Children can be cruel—not out of malice, but because they do not yet understand the consequences of their
