TRANSCRIBED PODCAST BELOW
Merry Christmas everybody! This is Heidi St. John – welcome to the Heidi St. John podcast!
Today is Monday, December 24th. It’s Christmas Eve and I’m going to do something a little bit different today. I’m going to read a story for your children.
Stick around, I think you’re going to be encouraged.
So mailbox Monday is generally the day when I answer questions from listeners. And one person, in particular, had said she was frustrated with Christmas. Another mom said that she was trying to figure out a way that Christmas could be more about the manger and less about the money. And as I was looking over the notes for today I started off kind of going one direction and decided about halfway through to take it a different direction.
And I thought today might be kind of a fun thing to just — if you’ve got your kids around you. This is a great podcast for them to listen to!
I’m going to read a story to you that I’ve read to my children many times over the years and it’s one that we love. I actually love to collect Christmas books.
We have a huge library of Christmas books, picture books, stories, all kinds of things at our house. And this one is called The Legend of the Christmas Tree.
This is called The Legend of the Christmas Tree. It was put out by Zander Kids and it was written by Rick Osborn. This has been in our family library for a long time. And so I thought, in the spirit of Christmas rather than do the normal podcast today, I would go ahead and read a story for your children.
So if you’re wondering about the Christmas tree, or you’ve never explained the story to your kids, gather round and enjoy this story with me.
Please listen in to the podcast to hear the story.
We wanted to say thank you and we hope you have a wonderful Christmas enjoying the birth of our Savior.
I’ll see you back here on Wednesday.
