A solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, obscuring the view of the Sun from a small part of the Earth, totally or partially. They happen often, but rarely in very populated areas and have been experienced by humans, for the longest of times. Can you picture having no idea what an eclipse is, then suddenly, everything goes dark?
