It was everything I dreamed of and more. Hands down my favorite of the series. Rose & Fionn were everything. I need to collect myself and write a full proper review tomorrow. But for now know that I loved this book with my whole heart.

There's this scene in L&L where Lachlan mentions that Fionn was "shattered" after Claire rejected his proposal. Also I fucking HATE Claire. That bitch had the audacity to hit on Lachlan after rejecting his brother??? TF BITCH??? When I first ARC read the indie version of B&B, I knew in my heart that this book and series would take off. Never did I imagine that Brynne would get the beautiful opportunity to share with an even larger crowd. I received the S&S ARC months ago, and let me just tell y'all, Fionn and Rose left me in such a rut. I had a hard time even writing this review because I knew I couldn't even begin to accurately rave about how wonderful this book is!
For those who've read this series, we've all met Fionn and Rose. Their story has been at the front of my brain since the very beginning, and I loved finally watching it play out! Fionn is our trusty doctor who is practicing in Nebraska, and Rose is a part of a traveling circus. Crazy circumstances cause the two to meet, and I guess you could say that rest is history.
Brynne has a way of infusing her books with laughs for days. Her books are the 1st I've really read of comedic dark romance, and they're definitely one of a kind. S&S was no different. To the trigger warnings, to the crocheting, and even our dear ole Barbara, I laughed hysterically! Rose kept our Fionn on his toes!🤣
Bravo, Brynne! I'm so incredibly proud of you. This series was a life changer for me, and I know for plenty of others as well! I hope this release exceeds everything you can imagine because you DESERVE IT!❤️

when I tell you this book is EVERYTHING I wanted.
It has the crazy murdery plot like BB and the romance, character development of LL, mixed with humor, spice and family.
Rose is hilarious in her quest to do right by women who have been hurt. She just can’t seem to get murder done easily. And Fionn is ALWAYS there to help her. No matter the consequences.
Their friendship, to lovers was such a breath of fresh air. It felt realistic, yet hopeful. The pining, the YEARNING. And the end omfg.

I’m sobbing because it’s over but grateful for it happening. What a hell of a way to wrap up the ruinous love trilogy. Fionn, our (not so) soft baby doctor, and Rose, our vigilante tarot card reading badass are a match made in heaven. Their tension between one another was thick enough to cut with a knife and the spice was SPICING! The ending was everything I wanted and more! I can’t wait to listen to it again next month when the audiobook releases! Thank you so so SO much Brynne Weaver, Zando, and Netgalley for this ARC.

Rose & Fionn had me freaking cackling and swooning.. and the spice ON AUDIO.. phew. I swear the audiobook production is pure perfection
This was my least favorite of the three (still so good) but the first two really captured me!

They were so funny, and their chemistry was off the charts! The audiobook was incredible—I can’t even explain it properly, but the narrators had actual chemistry, which made it so much more immersive.
The tension? Perfection. I loved how he was always down for her craziness—get you a man like that!
Rose being so skittish while also being a serial one??
And the epilogues? Absolutely loved them. I’m really going to miss my babies, Butcher and Blackbird.

I’m gonna be so real. after reading leather and lark, I was unsure I was going to finish this series. but wow am I glad I did!!
rose is a quirky, low key crazy, circus performer. fionn is the self-isolated, quiet doctor. when one of rose’s plans goes awry, she ends up breaking into his clinic and begs for help. and fionn can’t let her go after that. literally. he straight up moves her in to care for her after she breaks her leg.
THE TWO OF THEM!!! full on idiots in love but won’t admit it. they decide to enter a friends with benefits arrangement but fionn doesn’t see rose as anything closely resembling a friend. that man is down b. a. d. and I love him for it.
the rules the put into place only brought the tension up higher. sometimes friends with benefits lacks tension and angst but brynne absolutely crushed it. their chaotic love story was so much fun and I loved watching the two of them unravel.
now. the ending bits. THE LOVE NOTES. THE LOVE CONFESSIONS. truly didn’t think this book would be as romantic as it was but wow. I loved every second of it.
I cannot wait to see what brynne does (ruins) next!

So good!!!!
I went into this book not really remembering anything tangible about Fionn & Rose so I was a little worried. The timeline for their story goes back farther than I expected so it was cool to see their POV of events that took place during B&B and L&L. Although I do have to admit that there were times when I was confused - but I genuinely think that is due to me having had about 5x the recommended daily value of caffeine today and not being able to focus for more than 5 minutes.
Rapid fire thoughts:
1. Rose, girly, you’re insane.
2. The boxing match scene will be imprinted on my brain forever
3. Loveddd Fionn’s dialogue - I would’ve been putty in that man’s hands

AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! It feels like the whole series was leading up to this & it was really the perfect conclusion! Rose & Fionn had the sweetest love, rooted in being besties first! This took their love story back to the beginning, allowing us to see everything from their pov’s.
The Kane brothers are my favorite murderous Irish Men & their women are the morally grey baddies of my dreams. In this, Rose is the sparrow & she’s on her vigilante shit, giving women the kind of help that’s not easily asked for. (& she’s also in the circus which is cool).

The romance in this book rivaled my favorite fantasy romance stories.
This story is so romantic. The yearning for each other. The aching for each other. The fact that they can’t be with each other. there’s so much sadness. There’s so much heartbreak. there’s so much longing here it will drive you mad. In the best way possible.
It’s so romantic. It’s SO ROMANTIC.
The things this man does for her. He’s quiet and calculated. He’s lethal with his protection and loyalty to her. He’d do anything for her.
There’s love letters…. You guys. LOVE LETTERS that are so passionate and important and thought out.
The passion of love and declaring “I’m not letting you go. I never will. Let me love you forever.”
This is THE MOST vulnerable and emotional story out of the series. This is where someone broken and someone hiding find each other and embrace the darkness together.
This story is blush inducing spicy. It’s wicked. It’s decadent. It’s perfection.
It’s got a cute raccoon that I love. It’s got carnivals and clowns and Halloween.
There’s cameos of all the characters we’ve grown to love… but when I tell you… Fionn and Rose…. They are END GAME for me.
There’s a scene in this book where things are delicate between the two of them and there’s heartbreak and a bit of betrayal and Fionn says something to himself that really got to me. He’s tarnished something important between the two of them and he says… “It’s going to take time… so I just stay steady.” The safety I felt in that moment. The sureness and the willingness to be strong and steady for her while things are rocky makes me want to literally weep.
The growth these characters go through is inspiring. “You showed me how to care for the darkness, not to fear it or hide it away.”
There are high stakes and crazy scenarios… but this story is just such a romantic and touching story… I will think about it forever.
When you find out about his tattoo… good luck. God speed. Have some tissues handy.
This is my favorite book in the series. I feel like crying I love it so much.
Don’t forget that living and just existing are two different things…
“I’ve admired you every single day I’ve known you. Your bravery. Your recklessness. Your huge, wild heart.” I’m inspired to live more like Rose after reading this story. And settling for nothing less than Fionn.

Screaming crying throwing this was the a perfect book to end an amazing trilogy! What a journey!
Fionn and Rose were everything i wanted. I love love their characters so much and how chaotic they both were (plus barbara). The shenanigans in this book was freaking hilarious and i have a fear of clowns but i got my shit together and pushed through that fear 😅 Safe to say i was STILL scared the whole scene but that was expected lol. The cotton candy guys 😮💨 You guys are not prepared cuz i was shookt.
I got the ARC of this book months ago but I waited so long because i just dont want the trilogy to end🥹 I was one of the few ones who were in Brynne’s ARC team since BB and i am so incredibly proud on how far she have become. Thankfully Fionn wasn’t hung up on his ex, he proposed to her because he thought it was something he had to do. Later, after she rejected him he realized he didn’t really loved her (it’s only mentioned once).

To no surprise at all I completely devoured this book!!
I’d been dying to know more about rose & Fionn ever since they were introduced in Butcher & Blackbird. And with the way Leather & Lark ended 😱I just couldn’t wait !! You should’ve seen my face when this dropped to my kindle 🤭PURE JOY 🥹

As I mentioned before, I totally devoured this book. Brynne truly can do no wrong. S&S was the perfect combination of funny, dark, spicy, intriguing and I had such a good time !!
I loved Rose’s character so much! I think she’s definitely the wildest out of the ruinous love fmcs. But in a way, that makes her also the sweetest because she literally would do pretty much anything, even for someone she’d just met. She was also super funny and made me laugh out loud a couple times with her comebacks 🤭
Fionn. My sweet Fionn. His peaceful life definitely took a turn when he finally met rose hehehe 🤭
I love how he just helped her with almost no questions asked even though he was probably like “what the hell are we doing here ?!”
The banter and tension between them was top tier 🤭 oh & the spice 🔥 perfect as always!!
I am super sad that the ruinous love series has come to an end but I am also super excited to see what comes next !!
