This was a wonderful and lovely conclusion to Shayla and Trey story. I really enjoyed the first book in the series Always The One. I recommend that it's read before Always Us just to get the history and connection between Shayla and Trey.
Their love is all consuming and what I enjoyed was how deep and passionate they love ran. They are each other's best friends but also lovers and that dynamic is really the heart and core of this story. A person from Trey's past reappears and that's going to test their relationship.
Lana who's Shayla's best friend and Shayla's older brother Kingston are also an important part of their relationship. Their friendship is fantastic and also adds some very funny scenes and bantering between the four of them.
I would have liked the story to be a little more intriguing because I felt it was predictable and repetitive at times. Both in the storyline and in dialogue.
Overall I really enjoyed this story because of their shared history and love for one another.
A feel good romance with some very steamy scenes. Who doesn't like that ;)

CC MONROE YOU HAVE DONE IT AGAIN!!!
You infiltrated my top 5 like it was nothing.
This book has my entire heart. Getting to know Trey and Shayla was so fun and emotional. The love these two share was written so incredibly well. CC really knows how to write chemistry and true love like know ones business.
Trey: the dirty talk, the love he shows Shay, and he protectiveness was so sexy. Even though he was dealing with ALL that he was, he always stood beside Shay. As a man he was everything a woman could want.
Shay: THE STRENGTH. Ugh I love this woman. No matter what Shay had to do, no matter what she was going through she is always there for the people she loves most. Especially Trey. Her taking on what she did by herself was so awe inspiring.(can't say what because of spoilers)
Over all, if you love friends to lovers, with true love stories, please pick this up! The writing is incredible, the story telling top notch, and the characters make you feel at home.
I can't recommend this author enough.

Always Us is the continuation of Trey and Shayla's story. If you haven't read Always The One, then you have got to read it before you dive into this amazing book. I promise you, you will be glad that you did.
Trey and Shayla go through so much in this book that you won't know if your heart will be able to take much more. This book will make you laugh, cry, smile and cry some more. Trey will completely melt your heart in this book. He proves himself to be the man that every woman wants and needs even though the road isn't always easy.
Get ready for more Kingston and Lana. You will enjoy the sexy sass and fighting that is sure to happen whenever these two are together.

Author C.C Monroe has done it again!!
The love and emotion that Miss Monroe puts into these characters is beyond all words. I feel like they could easily be my next door neighbors. I love the reality of this book. The raw human emotion was so much my heart could barely hold it. Every tear, every laugh, every beautiful moment shared between these 4 friends is absolutely real. in ways that I never thought possible. She hits the nail on the head of several real life situations and this story has helped me cope I will always One-click and pre-order any and every book released by this literary genius.

This is super sweet the kind of book that leaves you with warm feelings. So why not 5 stars because its super sweet and leaves you with warm feelings. I did enjoy this I did. I think others will absolutely love this series. I do like sweet books but for me a bit much. Did have some hot sexy scenes. I enjoyed it. Know others will love it. 4 stars.

This is a wonderful read. I started it and didn't put it down until I finished it. Trey and Shayla relationship is one most people never see.. In this book they go through trying times and some of the best times of their life's. You need to read this series. I can't find enough ways to tell you.. I loved this book and I am sure you will too.

This is the conclusion to Trey and Shayla's story. The childhood friends turned more have both suffered losses of their own. They are together, but Trey is struggling to go through day to day. Shayla has losses and secrets of her own, but she takes care of Trey and lets her hurt and secrets fester. To add to their personal issues, the resurfacing of Trey's mother in their lives causes angst for everyone. As Trey and Shayla's connection grows stronger, it is also tested by all of these outside issues. I really do like these characters. There is no OW drama, but tons of other issues that the couple has to work through. I love that Trey is so dedicated to Shayla, and their story is one that makes you feel good about young love. Great lead in for Kingston and Layla's story, which is up next. All in all a great conclusion.

This was a beautiful conclusion to Shayla and Trey’s story. I just love a well written friends to lovers romance. And this was definitely well written. I adore C.C. Monroe’s ability to make a reader not feel as if they are reading a book but living it.
Trey and Shayla’s story is so beautiful and you can really feel their connection. They are lovers, yes. But they are also best friends. And honestly I feel like that just made the whole book.
But don’t get me wrong, just because they’re best friends doesn’t mean they don’t know how to get all hot and steamy.

WOW, I don't know of any word or words that can express what this book did to me. I felt Shaylas pain , my heart broke over and over again... Trey is the Hercules of Book Boyfriends .. Can they get any better?? I think not... To know this author used her own personal journey to write these words. To know that she put herself out there to help other women , to let them know they're not alone makes her a Hero in my eyes. Thank you Ms Monroe for writing these incredible heartfelt inspiring words...

Oh wow, soooo many feels! Gah this book just rips your heart out and puts it back together in a glorious way! The strength in Shayla and Trey’s relationship is amazing! The bond between Trey and his father is just the most heartfelt, beautiful and inspiring thing ever! And don’t even get me started on that Kathy! She makes my heart all warm inside! I really hope there is more to read about this group! Can’t wait to see what happens with Lana and Kingston!

Whew! My heart was definitely palpitating reading Always Us! The continuation of Shayla and Trey’s love journey. This book made me laugh, cry, cry some more, laugh some more and just love it. CC Monroe definitely knows how to bring out the feels in you! Shayla and Trey’s relationship is heartbreakingly beautiful. I highly recommend this book!

Talk about all the feels! I got teary eyed more than once reading this book. Trey and Shay really went through it, losing a lot but also gaining. I am so glad they got the happy ending they so deserved after everything.

Trey, Shayla, Kingston and Lana from book one are all in this book. There is loss, sadness, heart break, betrayal, lust, passion and so much love crammed in these pages.
Trey and Shayla are a perfect match. Whilst Shayla's brother Kingston and her best friend Lana are also the perfect foul mouthed duo. They are all so lovable and you just want to reach into the book and join their dynamic relationship.
Trey and Shayla have lots of obstacles to overcome but they have each other and are prepared to face anything thrown at them. In the bedroom they burn up the sheets Trey is a foul mouthed sexy beast and he brings out Sheyla's dirty side she never knew she had.
