Great Python book for beginers and beyond
nemojack· Review provided by ebay.com · April 8, 2020
Such a great book. It transitions smoothly from a gentle intro to Python, into a very deep dive--as deep as you want to go. I think it could serve as an intro to programming at large, but it is not intended or advertised for that audience. This book also keeps up the great reputation of O'reilly programming books. When I want to learn a programming, I always go to the O'reilly version first, and this book is a perfect example of why.
Learning Python is not for me.

I should never had bought an O'Reilly book. It is written with examples of code but without actual programs. You can learn the code statements and what they do. That's about all you can learn.
Good introduction to the Python language.

I am learning Python programming on the cheap. This appears to be a great book for that purpose.
Learn how to become a good, thoughtful Python programmer

This is the book that helped me get up to speed in Python as I transitioned from academia to data science in industry. I used other materials to learn the data science, but this was essential at helping me become a good Python programmer.
