This is now my "traveling" book! It's magnificent! Small enough to put it my tote without adding a lot of weight and leaving space for all my other things when I'm out and about. Nicholas has included so many materials in this little powerhouse of a crystal book! So well done in graphics and design! No doubt it will become everyone's favorite pocket encyclopedia for crystals! This book is my go-to for information choosing a crystal for certain spells, meditation, or carrying in my pocket. This book is small and fits easily in a purse or backpack for travel. I truly appreciate the thought-out structure of the book, which gives a nice color picture of each stone along with hardness,chakra, correspondence, and a few others. It also includes physical, psychological, and spiritual healing descriptions. Also, I received a lovely inscription and autograph. Fantastic book!

I love how concise this encyclopedia is of some common and less common stones. I appreciate the scientific data about the rocks or minerals in addition to their metaphysical findings. Also, this handy, compact reference contains chakra information--not just the 7 major, but also the 4 minor. Insightful and easy to use, I can quickly find the helpful answers to my questions on the gems collected in this elegant little tome.
