• Invented DC nanogenerator based on aligned piezoelectric ZnO nanowires.
• Invented large-scale nanobowl arrays.
• Fabricated large-area polystyrene spheres monolayer on various substrates by self-assembly technique used for patterning metal catalysts.
• Grew hexagonal-patterned aligned ZnO nanorods with different lengths.
