Abstract

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 15th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Information Processing in Sensor Networks (IPSN), held as part of the Cyber-Physical Systems Week (CPSWEEK) from April 11-14th, 2016. Since its inception 15 years ago, IPSN has grown to become one of the premium forums, bringing together researchers from academia, industry, and government to present and discuss recent advances in both theoretical and experimental research on networked sensing systems.

This year we are excited to present a strong and diverse technical program. I would like to thank the dedicated effort of Program Chairs, David Culler, Suman Nath, and Niki Trigoni, who did an excellent job in coordinating the review process and producing this program. I would also like to thank each member of the Technical Program Committee who worked very hard to review the submissions. In addition I would like to draw your attention to a new focus area of the Internet of Things (IoT), which reflects the increasing interest in IoT from both industry and academia, and complements IPSN's traditional focus areas of information processing and sensor platforms, tools & design methods.
