A complete, satisfying, enchanting read

I am not a believer in crystals, yet. Astrology, yes. The idea of crystals and the vibrations they emit is as enchanting as the planets and nodes in astrology are that represent and evoke archetypes deep in our nature. The way Allegra Grant has wedded them with the chakras has an artistic beauty as well.

The stones themselves are striking, mesmerizing even, each with its own distinct character evoking something ineffable inside. I am in love with science and to know that these crystals have had their journey since the beginning of time to become the beautiful things they are is a radiant, therapeutic idea all by itself whether you believe in their connection to chakras and the mind or not.

Allegra Grant delivers her well-organized ideas in a sweet, friendly writing voice that casts its own kind of spell. Very well done.

This is the first book on the subject that I've read in its entirety, and I found it to be both fascinating and helpful. The book is divided into sections that discuss various stones and their meanings and situations and how crystals and stones might help with them. There is a great deal of material that is well-organized and easy to comprehend. Additionally, the photographs are stunning. This book would be beneficial to both beginners and advanced practitioners of crystal healing.

I really like the chapter of the 27 Crystals, Stones, and Gems for anxiety and stress. I like that the author had a picture of each stone, describe the stone's color and texture, what the stone is known for and how the author uses the stone in her life. The author also educates the reader on how to not only care for yourself using the stones but also how to preserve the stones which is very helpful. I am definitely going to recommend this book.

The author’s writing style is delightful—reading the Introduction, I wondered for a moment if this book was a work of fiction.

GREAT FOR CRYSTAL BEGINNERS AND A FUN READ OLD WUWUs

I started this book after cleaning my room and discovering baskets of crystal treasures. Wanted to see if there was something new that would help me select a few nuggets from the collection. Allegra Grant's easygoing style and memoir approach In "Crystals for the mind" made for a fun read for this "wuwu fossil" and gave me some refreshing ideas. Thanks for the fun approach and focus on anxiety-reducing stones. Very helpful.

To be completely honest, I don't believe in crystals--at all. But I'm friends with someone who does and I want to be open-minded and be able to talk to her so I picked up this book. And it's pretty good.

It's ... informative, and well-written, and the anecdotes range from funny to surprisingly honest. I didn't hate it. Give it a shot even if you're skeptical.

Very engaging for a book about rocks!

This book explains the 'whys' of what makes crystals so healing, from a scientific perspective; in a way that's not too pedantic. I was expecting this book to be on the dry side, but the 'story-like' quality of the writing makes it so engaging. I finished this book wanting to research about crystals more. This book even inspired me to look into getting some for my dogs!
