Malware Removal Guide 2022 [Android]

Guide

Hello, ladies and gentlemen! I have been seeing to many victims of Android malware recently. You can use this guide, in hope of answers for removing viruses. If you have any inquiry, feel free to comment it. This applies for any OS that is Android. (Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, LG, etc.)

Q1. I keep getting notifications that I don't want, I think it's malware. How can I remove them? A. It's not malware if it's coming from Chrome or any other browser. Simply open the browser, navigate to settings, search for notifications, disable any not-trusted website. If it's from other apps, that may be adware. Navigate to settings, Apps, and uninstall any app which you think may be doing that. Does the problem still occur? Enable hidden/system apps setting, and navigate down. Look for apps with no icons or name, and delete them. If you can only disable, remove their administrator access and then delete it. The process of the app removal is pretty much the same even if you get pop-up ads.

Q2. Chrome says my device has (4) viruses, and it has a timer and it's asking me to install the app to delete the virus. What do I do? A. That is not malware, it's just an ad. Close the tab and you are ready to go!

Q3. Is this malware? (shows image or app name) A. To check if it's malware, visit VirusTotal on Google, and upload the app.

Q4. Best Anti-Viruses for Android? A. MalwareBytes, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, Avast, Trend Micro. I do not recommend McAfee.

Q5. My phone is apparently locked for possession of child p0rnography. What do I do? I didn't do anything. A. Boot to Safe Mode (this can be done for Samsung by holding down the power off button, and holding on the power off button. For other devices, you can search it up) go to settings, Apps, enable system apps, search for suspicious apps and apps with no name or icon. If you can't delete it, you must first remove administrator access, and then delete the app. To go back into normal mode, just restart. If that doesn't work, which is confusing? You probably did watch child corn. (WHAT!?!??) But most fake ones are from the “Federal Bureau of Investigation”.

Tips: PLEASE. Just please. Don't install an app that requires deactivation of your Anti-Virus. Install trusted apps with more than 1 million downloads on the Play Store. if it's a APK, upload it to VirusTotal. This is all, and I hope it helped!

Best regards, DarkEverything.

So I got an android 11 tablet from a government program that gives out free data and stuff like that. I'm fully aware that these tablets have a lot of spyware on there and they have programs that force ads on the lock screen and download apps (for this one its Cash App, TikTok, Pinterest, The Home Depot, Solitaire) without my permission. When I delete the apps it just downloads them again later. I was curious how I can actually remove the corporate surveillance off of this bad boy. Can I get the malware off and just have a fresh clean tablet?

wipe the data and install a clean OS on that tablet

idk, I had an adware that popped me random ads on separate times, so downloaded Bitdefender and ran the scan: malware detected and uninstalled----> the ads stopped popping up

i downloaded papas freezeria from some website i havent used before and let it marinate overnight. when i woke up, my phone had chrome open and it was an ad. its loaded four more ads since then, the screen will flash white for a quick second before showing it. i uninstalled it and other apks i had downloaded the same night but from trusted websites, wiped google chrome clean, and swept through my apps as much as i could without my computer and ran play protect(said it was fine). Bitdefender found the hidden adware left behind by the trojan apk, as well as some other shit from an apk i thought i could trust. so far, no ads.

Should I be fine if I factory reset my phone and use an anti-virus, I removed the app very quickly where I got the malware from. But I didn't get anything weird on my phone. it seemed normal. Is there anything else I can do to take further precautions.
