Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to announce her running mate in the next week, as a slew of potential contenders makes public appearances on her behalf.
She plans to campaign with her running mate next Tuesday, Politico reported. During a campaign stop in Atlanta on Tuesday, Harris called out former President Donald Trump and his criticisms of her, arguing he should “say it to my face” at a debate.

Vance Doubles Down On Defense Of Trump Amid 'Turn Black' Controversy
Trump’s vice presidential pick defended his running mate once again on Thursday, telling CNN that he found Trump’s remarks this week about Harris’ mixed-race identity “totally reasonable.”
The comments “don’t give me pause at all,” Vance told CNN.
“Look, all he said is that Kamala Harris is a chameleon,” he added. Vance had used the same metaphor Wednesday night at a rally in Arizona.
Trump said Wednesday afternoon that he was familiar with Harris’ Indian-American heritage, but that in recent years “she happened to turn Black.” In reality, Harris lays claim to both identities as a mixed-race woman.
