Enhanced Customer Data Repository (ECuRep) - Send data

General Page

General information about data uploads to ECuRep.

ECuRep supports several methods for sending data to IBM. The file size of your data largely determines the methods available for use.

You are asked to use encrypted data transmission only. Beside HTTPS uploads, only FTPS (FTP over TLS) and SFTP (FTP over SSH) are supported for manual uploads.
All servers enforce authentication. For Web access, you need to authenticate with your IBMid . For FTPS and SFTP servers, you need to create an IBM Support File Transfer ID . The IBM Support File Transfer ID is valid until revoked. The password part of it is only displayed at creation time. If you are loosing this password, you need to delete the ID and create a new one.

If required to address possible or confirmed security exposure, security settings of the client-facing server are adjusted without prior notice. Such changes include encryption protocols and cipher suites.

The easiest way to send problem documentation files to IBM is via your Web browser:

For uploading problem documentation files using "other methods" (like IBM Support Assistant (ISA), Service Request (SR), or ServiceLink / IBMLink), please have a look at our help section.

General encryption information

The upload server will support encryption methods as directed by IBM CIO or IBM Security only. This means ciphers and protocols are added or removed without further notice to ensure secure data transfers. For details about the encryption used by ECuRep, open the tab "Encryption".
