- Set in the realities of post-war Poland, the film tells the story of mourning parents setting off on their last journey with their son, as seen from the point of view of their grandson Jan. The son of Hanna and Jacob, a Home Army soldier Waclaw "Odrowaz" Szewczyk, is shot by the secret police in the autumn of 1946. After suffering a series of humiliations by the new authorities, who continuously desecrate their child's corpse, Hanna and Jacob decide to provide their son with a proper burial in the Paclawska Calvary, 500 km away. Their venture through Poland - a country still haunted by the post-war nightmare, becomes a metaphorical journey into the depths of the human soul and an attempt to reorder the world in which neighbors turn against each other, and where one's current enemy may become an unexpected ally.
- Gugara in Evenky language stands for the sound of the bell hanging from a reindeer neck. It's one of the few sounds you could hear in taiga, but recently there's almost nothing but silence. Within the last few weeks, Dimitri and Tatiana, elderly herdsmen, have lost their entire herd. What to do in taiga without it? Especially if you are very last herdsmen in the area. Everybody else already has left life in the forest for the nearby Russian village. This is the story of the decline of a small Siberian community. This observational documentary describes the paradoxical world of former nomads and reindeer herdsman that were forced to abandon their ancient life-ways. Characters of the film are on the different stages of forsaking world which was known us traditional way of life.
- Maria is dead, but alive. She committed suicide, but remains in her living body for several days. It is not known how she killed herself. He is looking for the causes of his own death. He watches what the world looks like without her. Preparations for the funeral, post-mortem examination and disinfection in the apartment are underway. Maria is invited to a party for the dead. He gets into a row with a fortune teller who foretells the future only if someone has it. The family complains that Maria is alive since she died. They believe she lived badly and died badly. Maria wants to interrupt her own funeral. She begins to believe that she is dead, but feels different.
- Almost everyone would like to turn back the hand of time and once again become a child. Why do we come back to those years with such nostalgia? When does the childhood end and when does the adulthood start ? What do we loose when our childhood comes to an end? The Last Day of Summer is an emotional journey to the times of childhood and a story about difficulties of entering the world of adults. The film consists of 5 parts. Each of them presents a cadet in different age and his ordinary day. It starts from the youngest one that is 7 and finishes with the oldest one that is 17. Within one hour we show how the cadets life changes together with their age. Apart from everyday activities we would like to show some interesting events and behaviors typical for cadets at different age ( e.g.: the first day at school a 7 year old boy, the first date with a girl a 15 year old boy). We want to take a closer look at the relations between peers, between children and adults (teachers, parents) to see what are the stages of growing up, how do they differ and what is typical for different age groups. During 50 minutes of the film we observe the process of growing up from 7 year old kid who learns how to read to a 17 year old graduate who has to decide about his future. This film is a journey to the times of childhood. The first and the youngest characters are to recall our memories from those times, which will allow us to identify with them.
- Thailand. Ball, thirty-year-old corporate guy, leads a very entertaining life full of parties. One day, he decides to become a short-term buddhist monk. So says Thai tradition. For Thai people going to the monastery is equal to a kind of initiation. In the watt Thai men become real men. Ball hopes to find his life goal within 15 days. This is how long he is about to stay in an unusual monastery surrounded by water, where he will be ordained, and where he will meet charismatic Abbot.
- Imad is a Syrian who has been living in Warsaw for several decades - he raised a family here and runs a catering business. Despite his attachment to Poland, he constantly feels suspended between two worlds. Will he be able to fulfill his dream of returning to the country of his birth? The starting point of the film is the aid expedition to Syria, which the hero organizes in 2013. On the way, he is accompanied by two teenage children, for whom this trip is an opportunity to strengthen their bonds with their father's country of origin. In an ambulance, which is supposed to be a gift to the Syrian rebels, they set off to the war-torn country of their ancestors.
- Zofia Kulik is at the top of her individual carrier but suddenly she decides to go back to the past. She wants to create a great archive of works by herself and her former partner Przemyslaw Kwiek. For the first time in 20 years, they confront each other, their youth, their approach to socialist reality of Poland i 1970's and 1980's as well as their son, whom they used to include in their radical artistic activities when he was a child.
