This father-son tension characterises their journey, their relationship in the hands of the dust and the soil of the road. Coming of age needs you to assume responsibilities, but familial authorities also need to relay it off. This father-son journey paints such a transfer of responsibility.

NAAL is the story of Chaitanya, an eight-year-old mischievous boy. Living in a remote village in Maharashtra, along the banks of a river, he is fathered by a small-time landlord and pampered by a loving and caring mother.
