WUSSTEST DU SCHON:
- Zitate
Gene Siskel - Host: "Stargate", reportedly, was a very expensive film to make; I can't see it on the screen. What a waste!
Roger Ebert - Host: Here they find a gate that's gonna allow them to travel, quote, "to the other end of the known universe."
Gene Siskel - Host: Right.
Roger Ebert - Host: And so, with about a week's preparation, some scientist, who is a complete nut, who nobody in his profession will listen to, hooks up with six or seven guys with automatic machine guns and Kurt Russell, and they walk through the Stargate. That would certainly be the way we would mount an expedition to the other side of the universe, right? And when we get there...
Gene Siskel - Host: When we get there...
Roger Ebert - Host: ...What are we gonna do? We're gonna shoot everybody! And meanwhile, nobody asks Spader, Spader says, "Oh yeah, I know how to get us back." And then they get to the other side without anybody having asked, "Well, HOW do you know how to get us back?"
Gene Siskel - Host: Oh, getting back, and time travel, and space travel is always a big, is always badly handled in the movies. But if they went there, and if something were magical...
Roger Ebert - Host: Couldn't something, you go to the other side of the universe to have a gun fight.
Gene Siskel - Host: There ya go!
Roger Ebert - Host: Amazing.
Gene Siskel - Host: Do you know that the budget, supposedly, on this picture was $55 million?
Roger Ebert - Host: Boy, they must've had some GREAT lunches.
