Audiences seem to be having a good time with Drew Hancock’s feature debut, Companion. The horror comedy comes from Boulderlight, the same team that brought the wild horror, Barbarian into the world back in 2022. Following the success of that film, they seem to have the pick of many a horror project in Hollywood.

For Drew Hancock, that next project could well be a remake of the 1998 high school horror, The Faculty.

Back at the end of December 2023, just two days after the 25th anniversary of the release of director Robert Rodriguez‘s alien invasion horror film The Faculty (watch it Here), which reached theatres on December 25, 1998, scooper Daniel Richtman has revealed on his Patreon page that Rodriguez was on board to produce a remake of The Faculty. Now, thirteen months later, Variety has finally confirmed that scoop – and they have also revealed that the screenplay for the remake is being written by Drew Hancock, writer/director of the sci-fi thriller Companion, which reaches theatres tomorrow. “The Night Agent” has returned with many new faces. Now that Peter Sutherland is officially a night agent, he must take on a new conspiracy mission with a new team.

Gabriel Basso will pick up the action, starring as Peter, and Luciane Buchanan will return as Rose. Though the couple ended their relationship at the end of Season 1, when Rose hears Peter is in trouble, she jumps at the opportunity to rekindle their relationship.

Because this season follows Peter on a new mission, several members of the original cast will not be back for Season 2, though, including Hong Chau and Robert Patrick.

The Pitt is an upcoming medical drama series created by R. Scott Gemmill. The Max series is set in the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital, and it follows the medical staff during their 15-hour emergency room shift. Though he may never have hit megastar status, Robert Patrick has been a stalwart presence in Hollywood ever since his biggest role as the T-1000 in James Cameron's seminal "Terminator 2: Judgment Day." DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn recently clarified some confusing comments he made earlier this year about the first season of Peacemaker, which he said he didn't view as being canon with the new Dcu despite the upcoming second season being firmly established as part of the burgeoning shared movie and TV universe.

As expected, the comedic sequence featuring members of the Justice League showing up way too late to save the day in the season finale is the one aspect that will not carry over to the second season or the wider Dcu.

While speaking to THR about the upcoming Creature Commandos animated series (premiering tomorrow), Gunn was asked if fans should consider Peacemaker season 1 and The Suicide Squad to be "prologues to the Dcu."

"Yeah, they’re light canon," he responded. "Peacemaker is pretty straightforward, with the exception of the appearance by a certain group [the former Dceu’s Justice League] at the end. (Laughs.

On a Tuesday episode of his “Fail Better” podcast in which he’s joined by Anderson, Duchovny admitted that he thought the “trickiest” part of their conversation would be addressing what he called his “failure of friendship.”

“There was a long time, working on the show, where we were just not even dealing with one another off-camera,” Duchovny said.

He admitted that he wasn’t sure how the conversation would go when it came to discussing the period when they didn’t speak to each other outside of work.

HBO/Max has released a new promo featuring footage from a number of the streamer's upcoming shows, and it includes our first glimpse of the second season of Peacemaker.

It's a very brief teaser, but it highlights John Cena as the returning Christopher Smith (he's in his season 1 costume here) having a beer with his allies, Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) taking out a bunch of goons in a pool hall, and our first look at Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr.

Grillo will voice Flag in the animated Creature Commandos series, before making his live-action debut as the character in Superman. In Peacemaker, he will be seeking revenge against Smith for the murder of his son in The Suicide Squad.
