Sixteen years younger than his more famous brother, actor Dana Andrews.

When he died in 2013, Forrest had outlived all of his twelve siblings: Wilton Wayland Andrews (1906-1990), Harlan Glenmoore Andrews (1907-1971), Dana Andrews (1909-1992), Charles Speed Andrews (1910-1953), Hazel Annis Andrews (1912-1913), Ralph Lowery Andrews (1914-1998), Margaret Alton Andrews (1916-1918), Evelyn Hope Andrews (1917-1918), David James Andrews (1919-2009), Mary Annice Andrews Brown (1922-1990) and Lois Kathryne Andrews (1927-1929).

He and his elder brother Dana Andrews made guest appearances in consecutive episodes of The Twilight Zone (1959): Andrews in No Time Like the Past (1963) and Forrest in The Parallel (1963).

Was the 12th of 13 children of Baptist minister Charles Andrews. After Army service in World War II, including fighting at the ferocious Battle of the Bulge, he graduated from UCLA, with a degree in theater.

Three sons: Michael, Forrest and Stephen.

As a stagehand at La Jolla Playhouse near San Diego, CA in the early 1950s, Forrest was discovered by Gregory Peck, who helped him get his first screen test which led to a contract with MGM.

Made a cameo appearance as the team's van driver in S.W.A.T. (2003) the film version of his S.W.A.T. (1975) series, in which Samuel L. Jackson' played Forrest's lead role of Hondo.

Sealed Cargo (1951) was the only film that he and his elder brother Dana Andrews made together.

He originally began his career as a beefcake model.

Has four grandchildren: Samamtha, Emily, Aubrey, and Alex.

Has a degree in Psychology.

Started as a tie salesman in Beverly Hills.
