Moriarty claimed that NBC and Wolf tried to defame him by announcing that he was fired for misbehavior. He played Ben Stone for four seasons and 88 episodes before he quit the series in 1994. Kelli Giddish left Law & Order: Svu in December 2022, midway through its 24th season on NBC — but she hasn’t gone far.

The actress, who played Detective Amanda Rollins for 12 seasons of the crime drama, has reprised her role several times since then. And even when she’s not on screen, the character is still a part of the show’s world, as Rollins is married to Ada Sonny Carisi (Peter Scanavino). Thursday’s episode sees Rollins back with the NYPD as a sergeant in the department’s intelligence division, working a case that overlaps with her longtime colleague and friend Capt. Olivia Benson’s (Mariska Hargitay) Special Victims Unit.

“It’s like, ‘Ok, let’s go,'” Giddish tells The Hollywood Reporter about returning to the Svu set with season 26. “I worked with all those people for so long, and it’s a character I love to play.

Kelli Giddish returned once again to “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” after departing the show as a series regular in 2022.

In the third episode of Season 26, titled “Divide & Conquer,” her character, Detective Amanda Rollins, comes back into the fold — and has a heartwarming reunion with her former partner, Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay).

In Season 24 of the NBC procedural, Rollins married Ada Dominick Carisi Jr. (Peter Scanavino) and resigned from the Special Victims Unit to accept a teaching position at Fordham University. She returned as a guest star in a later episode of Season 24 and in two episodes in Season 25.

Coming back for Season 26, Rollins is now working as a sergeant for the NYPD Intelligence Bureau.

“Sergeant!” Benson says as she and Rollins embrace in the hallway. “Your first city-wide briefing in the intelligence division, huh?”
