- Sharon shared her home and life (1991-2010) with Mister Tubbs, an extra ordinary feline. Mister Tubbs had his screen debut in "Grace" an AFI Women's Directing Workshop, Directed by Camille Cellucci.
- Passionate about photography, Sharon has been published in several publications. In 2007, her photographs accompanied a story in American Cinematographer magazine.
- During undergraduate studies in Art, Sharon discovered a love for design and photography. She has designed furniture, stain glass pieces, mosaics and paints on canvas and tile.
- Sharon has a passion for volunteering. Some of her work is with the MPTF (Motion Picture Television Fund), Lucasfilms The Green Team. Along with ACE, MPEG and AMPAS.
- Member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science.
- Member of the Visual Effects Society (VES), Member of Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA), Member of Oral History Association (OHA).
- Co-Vice Chair of Moving Image Crafts Documentation Alliance (MIC'D), Sharon is a founder along with archivists from sister organizations in the motion picture and television industry. Striving to archive the histories of respective organizations through filmed interviews, photographs, documents, books and vintage equipment. Producer of the Legacy Collection, the oral histories of members of the Motion Picture Editors Guild.
In 2017, Curated a Post Production Museum at the Motion Picture Editors Guild. Open to Visitors upon appointment. Bi-annually gives tours to students and hosts a mentoring discussions. - Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, Charter Member and donor.
