After graduating from Yale with a degree in philosophy, Los Angeles native Marilee began her career in Europe, as Francis Coppola's philosophy tutor. She then worked as a development director for the RAI III. Back in LA, Marilee started her career as a writer in commercials, writing treatments for such directors as Craig Gillespie and Marcus Nispel, among many others.
Marilee is the founder of One Village Green, a nonprofit that promotes mental health in American kids through content creation, lobbying and grants. Her first novel, The Tutor, was published by Rare Bird Books in the fall of 2019.
As part of the newly formed Amicus Pictures, she is now producing Denke's Blacklisted script, Sex Greed Money Murder and Chicken Fried Steak in Dallas.
