Music producer Bruce Robb chose Anthrax to perform the original score for director John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars. The band played to picture in Robb's Cherokee Studios and can be seen in the bonus feature available on the DVD with Carpenter and Robb.

Members have included Scott Ian, Charlie Benante, Joey Belladonna, Frank Bello, John Bush, Paul Crook, Dan Spitz.

The band's first recording was First Demo.
