Karen Berger(III)
- Writer
- Actress
Before becoming a writer, Karen was an actress. In addition to her film and TV credits, she was in an improv group. It occurred to her that improv was essentially writing on your feet, so she decided to try it sitting down. Her first effort "Gee Whiz" sold to Disney. "Dead Lady Next Door" sold to Fox 2000. Then "Anchorwomen" at Imagine/Universal. Steven Spielberg read one of her scripts and she was hired to write a movie at DreamWorks. Another original spec sold to Warner Bros. Karen decided to give TV a try and ended up writing 16 rom-coms for Hallmark. Now she has returned to the R-rated world of features with 2 new projects in development.
