Three new films will compete at the Tollywood box office this weekend: Gangs of Godavari, starring Vishwak Sen; Bhaje Vaayu Vegam, starring Kartikeya; and Gam Gam Ganesha, starring Anand Deverakonda.

These releases are crucial for the lead actors striving for success at the Tollywood Box Office. Vishwak Sen aims to enhance his standing as a mass hero with Gangs of Godavari, while Anand Deverakonda seeks to capitalize on his previous hit, Baby, and avoid being labeled a one-hit-wonder. Kartikeya, whose last film, Bedurulanka 2012, had a lukewarm reception, hopes to make a mark with Bhaje Vaayu Vegam and carve out a space for himself in the industry.

All three Tollywood films have been heavily promoted, generating anticipation among audiences. While each film has its own unique appeal, none are expected to overshadow the others completely. Positive word-of-mouth could potentially propel all three to success.

National Award-winning actor Dhanush’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual movie ‘Sir’/’Vaathi’ is being mounted on a high budget with lavish production values and is all set for theatrical release on February 17, 2023.

The film’s first single ‘Mastaaru Mastaaru’ in Telugu, and ‘Vaa Vaathi’ in Tamil (both composed by G V Prakash Kumar and sung by Shweta Menon), was released by the makers a few days ago and they received a good response.

Directed by Venky Alluri, the film also features Samyuktha Menon. Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani and Narra Srinivas essay supporting roles. It is being made by leading production house Sithara Entertainments in association with Fortune Four Cinemas.

Some time back, the makers released the teaser of the movie that shows Dhanush as a junior lecturer and it also got a humongous response.

Dhanush, who plays the lead in Venky Atluri’s upcoming bilingual film, ‘Vaathi’, has put out a video clip in which he is seen singing a few lines from the first single of the film which is to be released on November 10.

The video, which is almost a minute and a half long, has music director G V Prakash playing the piano and Dhanush singing along. Needless to say, the video clip has caught the attention of fans.

The original song has been sung by singer Shweta Mohan, who Dhanush has disclosed is his favourite.

Posting the video clip on his timeline on social media, Dhanush wrote: “‘Vaathi’/’Sir’ first single ‘Vaa Vaathi'(Tamil)/ Masteru (Telugu) from 10th. G V Prakash musical and my favourite Shweta Mohan has sung it. Hope you guys like it.”

Sree Vishnu is introduced as police officer, Alluri, who sports a unique style in tackling criminals. The trailer shows that Alluri turns violent only when there is no other option left.
