Arthur, the longest-running children’s animated series in the history of American television, has ended with its 25th season. Developed for PBS by Kathy Waugh and produced by Wgbh, the series centers on a young aardvark of the same name, and the lessons he learns from friends and family while growing up in the fictional Elwood City.

Arthur’s final episode, titled “All Grown Up,” aired February 21 on PBS and took place 20 years into the future, chronicling the lives of Arthur, his sister D.W., Buster, Brian, Muffy and Sue Ellen in their 20s.

In the flash forward, it is revealed Arthur became a graphic novelist who has just published his first book.

As the group reunites at Sugar Bowl Cafe, the dessert parlor they would go to as kids, Arthur shows the group what he’s working on and they all reveal what they’ve been doing. D.W.

The sun will set on the Arthur TV series during the 2021-22 television season. It's been revealed that PBS' long-running educational show for kids has been cancelled after 25 years. The final episode is expected to air next year.

Based on the popular Arthur Adventure childrens' book series by Marc Brown, the Arthur television show debuted on PBS in 1996. The story revolves around eight-year-old Arthur Read (an aardvark), his family, and friends at Lakewood Elementary School in Elwood City (which looks a lot like Boston). Some of the characters have been voiced by the same actors since the beginning of the show's run. Others have been played by younger actors and have been replaced multiple times. The iconic children’s series will end on PBS Kids with its final season debuting in the winter of 2022.

The news emerged from an interview with Kathy Waugh, who originally developed the show from the books by Marc Brown, on the Finding Dw podcast with Jason Szwimer.

“Arthur is no longer in production. We had our wrap party two years ago,” Waugh told Szwimer. “I think [PBS] made a mistake, and I think Arthur should come back and I’m know I’m not alone in thinking they made a mistake. I don’t know if it was a ratings issue or if it felt like it needed to be retired. To me, it felt evergreen, like it was never going to end but it did end, we finished the last episode,...

Summit Entertainment has released three clips from director Jonathan Levine’s upcoming zombie horror/romance film, Warm Bodies. It’s a comedy as well, so you know, zombies aren’t completely out to eat your brains. Except they are. And then they aren’t. Go figure. I guess it’ll all make sense in the movie. Maybe.

Dark Castle's newest thriller 'The Factory' has been stuck in a release rut for quite some time now but thankfully blows onto screens at next months Screamfest being held in La from 12th-21st October. Following up on those four new images from Jonathan Levine’s “Warm Bodies” that Summit released yesterday, here are two more images featuring star Nicholas Hoult all dolled up as a living dead man. Of course, just cause he’s dead doesn’t mean he still can’t love. Cause, you know, he does, in the film. We’ve seen a ton of Hoult as the zombie hero, but haven’t yet seen anything official of Teresa Palmer as his living human paramour (not counting the promo shot from a while back). I’m also curious to see what Rob Corddry, as R’s sex-crazed zombie buddy M looks like. I guess when you’re dead, rain isn’t much of a hassle. You can’t still get cold if you’re already dead, can you? Isn’t that, like, one of the “benefits”? Anyways, check out some new images from Jonathan Levine’s “Warm Bodies”, starring Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, Rob Corddry, Analeigh Tipton, John Malkovich, Lizzy Caplan, Dave Franco, Cory Hardrict, and Justin Bradley. R is a zombie, but R is so much more. He certainly looks the part with his trademark gait and rotting flesh. Sure he loves to munch on human brains as much as the next dead guy, but something is changing inside. He just met this human girl named Julie on a hunting raid and instead of eating her, he’s decided to save her life and hide her from his friends. In this post apocalyptic world where zombies prey on human survivors, this is certainly a no-no.

The romantic fantasy Beastly has been available for pre-order for a few weeks, but we finally have the official details from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The movie will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on June 28.

Based on the New York Times bestseller of the same name, Beastly stars Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number Four) as a weathly New York teen who seems to have everything, until a curse transforms his good-looking face into one that’s almost unrecognizable and he’s left to find true love.

Rated PG-13, the film also stars Justin Bradley (The Trotsky), Mary-Kate Olsen (TV’s Weeds), Vanessa Hudgens (Sucker Punch), Peter Krause (TV’s Parenthood), Lisa Gay Hamilton (TV’s Men of a Certain Age) and Neil Patrick Harris (TV’s How I Met Your Mother).
