Mario made his big screen debut in Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo and Juliet" . He continued with Louis Gosset Jr in "Managua." He traveled from the United States to Argentina, Venezuela and Colombia where he worked with top writers and directors. Mario had the opportunity to star in several iconic series of Latin American culture, made in the U.S. and Colombia, including "Pasión de Gavilanes" and "El Cuerpo del Deseo." He starred in "Rockaway" for First Look Studios, by the Crook Brothers, for which he received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Juju. He also played SN in Cesar Oropeza's film "Puras Joyitas," which quickly became a number one box office hit in Venezuela. On the small screen, Mario had a recurring role on USA Network's "Necessary Roughness." He plays the role of 'Augusto', a chef who returns incognito to team up with 'Dr. Dani' (C. Thorne) in an effort to surprise 'Jeanette'. Tireless in his search for acting challenges, he will soon be seen playing the trilingual Captain Salvador Santiago, in Coolie,where he plays a complex but charming character who speaks Mandarin, English and Castilian.
