A new Marvel Cinematic Universe scoop has unveiled a fascinating deleted scene from Venom: The Last Dance, offering fans a thrilling glimpse of a multiverse-spanning threat.
In the scene, Eddie Brock is seen traversing the shadowy void between realities, a perilous journey that teases the immense power of Knull, the ancient entity who lurks in this liminal space. This moment not only confirms long-standing fan theories about Knull’s multiversal influence but also sets the stage for his potential future role.
Fans of Venom and its sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, may recall the blend of humor and horror, such as Venom’s unexpected dance sequence while evading the terrifying Xenophage.
This tonal balance carries into the third installment, which begins with Eddie’s return to his original reality after his brief encounter with Earth-616. Interestingly, the portal that brings him back has a dark, shadowy appearance reminiscent of...

In the latest scoop from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a deleted scene from ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ has surfaced, revealing a tantalizing glimpse of a multiverse-spanning menace.
The scene shows Eddie Brock navigating the murky void between realities, a journey that hints at the formidable powers of Knull, a creature that dwells in this in-between space, confirming fan theories about his multiversal influence.
Fans of ‘Venom‘ and its sequel ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ may remember the screenplay’s light-hearted moments, such as Venom’s unexpected dance sequence while fleeing the fearsome Xenophage.
This third installment starts with Eddie being whisked back to his home reality after a brief stint on Earth-616, marking his return through a portal reminiscent of Knull’s, rather than the glowing effects we saw in the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ post-credits scene.

Like Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage before it, Venom: The Last Dance didn't boast the strongest screenplay. That was evident when the Symbiote, on the run from the Xenophage, fully transformed for a dance number despite repeatedly saying that doing so would bring the near-unstoppable monster bearing down on him.
In the opening few minutes of the threequel, Eddie Brock is sent back to his reality following a brief trip to Earth-616; however, in an unexpected and still-unexplained retcon, he travels through a portal like the ones Knull uses rather than the glowing effect seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home's post-credits stinger.
In a newly revealed deleted scene from Venom: The Last Dance, we find Eddie travelling through the apparent void between realities. A shadowy creature, presumably a Xenophage, spots the Lethal Protector and his Codex, likely revealing how the King in Black learned of its existence.

Venom: The Last Dance arrived on Digital platforms earlier this week and is now available to watch at home. Today, we're delighted to share an exclusive clip from the threequel's featurettes titled "Bonded In Chaos: Tom Hardy."
Exploring the duality of his roles as Eddie Brock and Venom, we hear from Clark Backo (Sadie), Peggy Lu (Mrs. Chen), Rhys Ifans (Martin), and Stephen Graham (Partick Mulligan) on the unique experience of sharing the screen with the actor.
There's also some great behind-the-scenes footage of the Area 51 battle and Eddie and Venom's ill-fated trip to Las Vegas.
It's unclear what the future holds in store for Hardy as Venom; the actor has said repeatedly that this movie was a farewell to the role, while it's been reported that the idea was to shift focus to Agent Venom next.
Those plans may have been scrapped following the reported conclusion of Sony's...

With Sony's Spider-Man Universe reportedly at an end, Venom: The Last Dance may be the last movie featuring the Lethal Protector we get for quite some time...unless those Spider-Man 4 rumours prove to be correct, of course.
The threequel hit Digital platforms today and Fandango has just shared the first 10 minutes of the movie. In that, we get the opening prologue with Andy Serkis' Knull, the weird Spider-Man: No Way Home retcon that sees Eddie Brock return to his reality via a completely different type of portal, and a fun clash between the anti-hero and some local thugs.
By now, we're sure you're aware that Venom: The Last Dance set out to establish the King in Black as a major antagonist in a future movie. We don't know whether that's Spider-Man 4 or the presumably now-scrapped Agent Venom project (there's even been chatter about Knull being Sinister Six's...

A third film in the Marvel Comics-inspired Venom franchise made its way through production last year, shutting down for several months along the way due to the Screen Actors Guild strike. The film, titled Venom: The Last Dance, reached theatres back in October and has earned over $472 million at the global box office… making it the least successful entry in the franchise, since Venom made $856 million and Venom: Let There Be Carnage made $501 million. It has been given a digital release as of today, December 10th – but if you’re holding out for the physical media release, you don’t have long to wait. Venom: The Last Dance's Digital Release Date Has Been Confirmed And It's Coming Sooner Than Expected
There have been rumblings that Venom: The Last Dance might arrive on Digital platforms as soon as this week and Sony Pictures has now confirmed it will be available to watch at home starting tomorrow.
This comes after the threequel ended its theatrical run with $472 million, the franchise's lowest haul. It's unclear whether special features will be included in this release, though we recently got a leaked look at those.
Sony is one of the only studios to hang on for as long as possible when it comes to the gap between a theatrical and Digital release.
For the most part, it's an approach that's paid off, though Kraven the Hunter might premiere at home much quicker than Venom: The Last Dance if recent box office projections are any indication of what's in store for that movie.
Some new VFX stills from Venom: The Last Dance have also been released...

It was a Kneecap sweep at the 2024 British Independent Film Awards (BIFAs) in London on Sunday night as Sean Baker’s Anora was named best international indie film.
The cheeky Belfast-based rap trio have become the talk of the town with their “print the legend” biopic, picking up four craft awards at the BIFAs. The team nabbed three more on Sunday: Chiwetel Ejiofor presented the award for best British independent film to director Rich Peppiatt, who also earned best debut screenwriter. Best joint lead went to trio Liam Óg Ó Hannaidh, Naoise Ó Cairealláin and J.J. Ó Dochartaigh, who played themselves.
The film won seven BIFAs in total, including the craft wins, announced in November: best casting sponsored for Carla Stronge, best editing for Julian Ulrichs and Chris Gill, best original music for Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante and best music supervision for Gary Welch and Jeanette Rehnstrom.

Though Venom: The Last Dance performed a lot better than previous Ssu movies Madame Web and Morbius, it still ended up finishing its theatrical run as the lowest-grossing film of the Venom trilogy.
The Kelly Marcel-directed superhero flick took in just under $140 million domestically and another $333 million from overseas markets for a global total of around $472 million. With a reported budget of around $120 million, this is far from a bad result for Sony Pictures, but it doesn't come close to the $850 million the original Venom made in 2018, and also falls just short of Let There Be Carnage's $500 million.
This was Sony's final Venom movie (supposedly), but the studio is rumoured to have big plans for the villainous Knull and Agent Venom.
The Last Dance hits Digital platforms this week.

More than 20 years later, the world is looking back on one of Keira Knightley‘s breakout roles through a new lens.
Although audiences have come to see her Love Actually scene with Mark’s (Andrew Lincoln) cue cards as less romantic over the years, the 2x Oscar nominee admitted she thought it was a “quite creepy” way to profess his love for her character Juliet when they were filming.
“The slightly stalkerish aspect of it — I do remember that,” Knightley told the Los Angeles Times. “My memory is of [director] Richard [Curtis], who is now a very dear friend, of me doing the scene, and him going, ‘No, you’re looking at [Lincoln] like he’s creepy,’ and I’m like [in a dramatic whisper], ‘But it is quite creepy.’ And then having to redo it to fix my face to make him seem not creepy.”

Since bursting on the scene in 1998 as a scruffier and scrappier distant cousin to the BAFTAs, the British Independent Film Awards (BIFAs) have been an early bellwether for future talent in front of and behind the camera. Giving a very early shout out to some of the biggest stars working today is the BIFAs breakthrough performance award (formerly the most promising newcomer award).
Jamie Bell and Ben Whishaw were recipients more than 20 years ago, while other winners have included Dev Patel, Naomi Ackie and Jessie Buckley. As for Emily Blunt, John Boyega, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mia Goth, Andrea Riseborough, Will Poulter, George MacKay, Jodie Whittaker and Cosmo Jarvis, they’re among a formidable lineup of names who only managed a nomination.
So it’s only natural that this year’s crop of nominees are perhaps a little excited about what lies ahead. Speaking to Variety ahead of the awards ceremony on Dec.

More than twenty years after its premiere, actress Keira Knightley has spoken out about a pivotal sequence in the beloved film “Love.” In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Knightley revisited the famous cue card scene, which has received renewed attention for its implications on consent and conduct.
Knightley, who was only 17 when filming, remembers feeling nervous about the scene with co-star Andrew Lincoln. In this memorable scene, Lincoln’s character, Mark, secretly professes his love for Juliet (played by Knightley) through a sequence of handwritten cue cards. At the same time, her husband, Peter (Chiwetel Ejiofor), remains clueless inside the house.
Knightley commented, “The slightly stalker-ish aspect of it—I remember that.” She addressed her worries to director Richard Curtis, describing the incident as “quite creepy.” Curtis, who has since become a close friend, advised her to change her expressions to make the situation less scary.

Keira Knightley admitted in a new interview with the Los Angeles Times that she told “Love Actually” director Richard Curtis while filming the infamous cue card scene with Andrew Lincoln that it was all “quite creepy.” Knightley was 17 years old when she was filming the Christmas romance. Both “Love Actually” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” opened in theaters in 2003, turning Knightley into a global star.
The “Love Actually” scene features Lincoln’s character unexpectedly showing up at Knightley’s door with cue cards that express his love for her. The cards read: “Let me say, without any hope or agenda, just because it’s Christmas (and at Christmas you tell the truth) to me you are perfect.” The moment is complicated by the fact that Knightley’s character’s husband (played by Chiwetel Ejiofor) is inside. Many viewers now consider the moment stalker-ish.

Mike Flanagan (Gerald’s Game, Doctor Sleep) showcases the more sentimental side of Stephen King with The Life of Chuck, based on the short story from King’s 2020 anthology If It Bleeds. Neon has officially set a release date for the new King adaptation.
The Life of Chuck will be released in theaters on May 30, 2025.

After winning the People’s Choice Award at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, the Mike Flanagan-directed adaptation of Stephen King’s The Life of Chuck is getting an official release date. Flanagan’s fantasy drama, starring Tom Hiddleston, Karen Gillan, Harvey Guillén, and more, comes to theaters on May 30, 2025. Neon distributes the adaptation, which also stars Mia Sara, David Dastmalchian, Matthew Lillard, Jacob Tremblay, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kate Siegel, Mark Hamill, Lauren Lavera, and Q’orianka Kilcher.
Variety posted a description for The Life of Chuck in September, saying, “Adapted from Stephen King’s 2020 novella, The Life of Chuck stars Tom Hiddleston and is directed by Mike Flanagan. Billed as a ‘life-affirming’ story about an ordinary man named Charles Krantz, the film is split into three distinct chapters that unfurl in reverse chronological order and are set against the backdrop of a world that appears to be slowly crumbling.

Like Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage before it, Venom: The Last Dance doesn't exactly have the strongest of scripts.
Plot holes aren't hard to find; for example, why after doing his best to avoid transforming would Venom then do so just for a dance with Mrs. Chen? (resulting in the Xenophage nearly killing them and his and Eddie Brock's eventual capture).
Still, fans were quick to pick up on the fact the threequel made a point of establishing that Detective Pat Mulligan's Symbiote had abandoned him after his run-in with Venom and Carnage in the previous movie. Seeing as the cop was bonded with another of the aliens before being killed, this surely means Toxin is still out there, right?
Perhaps not.
A list of deleted scenes for the upcoming Digital and Blu-ray releases of Venom: The Last Dance has been revealed and among them is "Toxin's Warning.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled with teases, cliffhangers, and post-credits scenes — some good, some bad. However, by this point there've been too many teases that remain unfulfilled, including cameos that have yet to be paid off and credits stingers that promised bigs things yet have so far amounted to nothing. Think of Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) declaring his intention to hunt down sorcerers in "Doctor Strange," Adrian Toomes aka Vulture (Michael Keaton) and Mac Gargan aka Scorpion (Michael Mando) meeting in prison in "Spider-Man: Homecoming," or basically the entire ending of "Eternals" (everything from the giant celestial sticking out of the ocean to Arishem promising to judge Earth and the hint at Kit Harington's Dane Whitman becoming the Black Knight).
Then there's "Thor: Love and Thunder," a terrible movie with bad visual effects that director Taika Waititi himself criticized (despite the poor working conditions the film's visual effects...

Venom: The Last Dance Spoiler Stills Reveal Closer Look At The Lethal Protector's Massive Final Form
Whether you loved or hated Venom: The Last Dance (and Sony's Marvel movies are always divisive), it's hard to deny that the visuals were impressive.
Ilm has shared some shots of the work they did on the threequel, specifically highlighting the Symbiote's final form in the movie's closing moments. As you'll recall, the blockbuster concluded with Venom separating from Eddie Brock to wrap itself around the Xenophage, dragging it into an acid shower which destroyed them both.
Venom became giant-sized and, just to punctuate his demise, Rex Strickland blew himself and the two aliens up to ensure the rampaging Xenophage could no longer threaten Earth. Eddie and Venom's "Codex" was also destroyed, leaving Knull trapped on Klyntar...for now, at least.
However, it's widely believed Venom survived, likely through the piece of Symbiote retrieved by Imperium at the start of the movie. The Lethal Protector may have also transferred...

In Venom: Let There Be Carnage's post-credits scene, Eddie Brock was pulled to Earth-616 where his alien suit immediately took great interest in a news report about Spider-Man.
The events of Spider-Man: No Way Home revealed that Doctor Strange's botched spell - courtesy of Peter Parker's constant input - had started pulling everyone who knows the wall-crawler's secret identity into the Sacred Timeline. That explained Venom's unexpected arrival on Earth-616, though he never joined the final battle and instead chose to remain in Mexico.
That was confirmed by Spider-Man: No Way Home's stinger, with Eddie sent back home in the same manner as the Spider-Men and Sinister Six Five.

Actor Josh Brolin recently revealed a behind-the-scenes anecdote from the 2007 crime movie “American Gangster” that nearly resulted in a violent altercation with co-star Denzel Washington. In a candid interview with Graham Bensinger, Brolin recalled a stressful moment on set that strained the limits of their professional relationship.
The incident occurred while Brolin was filming a scene in which he played Detective Trupo, who was investigating heroin dealer Frank Lucas, played by Washington. According to Brolin, tensions arose when Washington arrived late to the set and appeared distracted while changing the scene structure.
“Denzel was a little late to the set,” Brolin explained. “He showed me the lines and rearranged how we would do the scene.” The situation swiftly grew heated when Brolin reached out for assistance with his lines. Washington reacted strongly, telling Brolin, “Don’t ever put your hand on me.”
Brolin confessed that he briefly believed they were about to fight.

Josh Brolin is looking back on a tense moment he had with Denzel Washington on the set of American Gangster.

“Denzel and I, by the way, get along very well now,” he said before sharing the anecdote from set. “We almost got into a fight.”
In the 2007 film, Brolin played Detective Trupo, who is investigating Washington’s character Frank Lucas, a Harlem drug dealer in the ’60s and ’70s. While filming, there was a heated moment Brolin alleged after Washington changed Brolin’s line for a scene at the last minute.

Venom: The Last Dance featured the live-action debut of the King in Black and God of the Symbiotes, Knull. Played by Andy Serkis, the big bad sent his Xenophage to Earth in a bid to retrieve Eddie Brock and Venom's Codex so he could be freed from his prison on Klyntar.
It didn't work out for the villain but the movie ended with a mid-credits scene driving home what a threat Knull could still be to the universe should he escape.
Now, Karl Lindberg has shared his designs for Knull, explaining, "Worked directly with Writer/Director Kelly Marcel to design this creepy villain. Love how he came out in the movie."

On the heels of the response to “Joker: Folie à Deux” (Warner Bros.) on PVOD, “Megalopolis” (Lionsgate), Francis Ford Coppola’s much lower grossing but also much publicized $100 million self-financed film, got a home release that garnered almost zero interest.
“Saturday Night” (Sony) was the other big name release, and landed #6 on both iTunes (ranking by revenue) and Fandango (by transactions) top 10 lists (#4 and #6 respectively; it was #1 for a day at iTunes). It’s not like it was a much bigger hit than “Megalopolis” in theaters or PVOD. Its domestic gross was only $9.5 million, less than $2 million better than Coppola’s film.
“Megalopolis” not making either list is surprising. But what is stunning is it is nowhere to be found among the more than 80 movies listed on their daily list, nor has it since it was released. “Goodrich” (Bleecker Street) with Michael Keaton, which grossed barely over $1 million is #24 Monday.

The long awaited fourth film is called Mad About The Boy, adapted from Fielding’s 2013 novel of the same name, and it’s now far away at all. As well as a returning Renee Zellweger, the cast also includes Isla Fisher, Josette Simon, Nico Parker and Leila Farzad.
Michael Morris directed the film from a screenplay by Fielding, with contributions from screenwriters Abi Morgan and Dan Mazer.
The first trailer for it is with us, and it looks like this:
Helen Fielding’s big knicker wearing, perennial singleton Bridget Jones began life as a character in a series of columns in The Independent, which became a bestselling series of novels. When Venom: The Last Dance opened in North America far below initial expectations - with a disappointing $51 million - it looked like Sony Pictures might have another box office flop on its hands.
Morbius and Madame Web were both subjects of ridicule and lost a lot of good faith for a studio that's not exactly known for making quality comic book movies when Marvel Studios isn't involved.
However, since opening in theaters last month, Venom: The Last Dance has continued to exceed expectations. In fact, it's now crossed $400 million at the worldwide box office. As things stand, it will end up making more than Venom: Let There Be Carnage's $503 million, a terrific result considering it only cost $120 million to produce.
In fact, with a reported total production cost of $340 million across the Venom trilogy, this series will end up having made upwards of $1.8 billion in box office revenue for Sony Pictures.

Bridget Jones is back.
On Tuesday, Peacock released the first trailer for “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,” the fourth film in the long-running romantic comedy series and the first since “Bridget Jones’s Baby” in 2016.
Things are different this time for Jones, and not just because this is the first film in the franchise that will bypass theaters entirely. As revealed in the “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy” trailer, Jones’s husband, Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), has died, leaving Jones a widowed mother of two young children. Things move apace from there, with several of her friends – including former flame Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) – suggesting Jones get back out there to reconnect with other potential mates, including a young man played by Leo Woodall (“The White Lotus”) and a more age-appropriate match in the form of a science teacher played by Chiwetel Ejiofor.
